Is there any point to doing Storyline missions now?

I haven't seen faction standing actually do anything (besides e-peen), but I might be missing something..?

Furthermore, getting standings with the corp you're running missions for is so easy, that storyline missions seems unnecessary.

Am I missing something? Haven't seen them drop better loot or anything, so... :/

They are 1 way to increase your faction standing with Amarr, Caldari, Gallente and Minmatar.

This is required in order to put up a high sec POS and do some high end cosmos missions.

Yes, clearly faction standing is useless because you don't know anything about it.

Alright, cheers.
Haven't thought of that, but I guess it's obvious now.
Thanks for the info :D

And a benefit for high faction standings is that a lot of agents use what's highest (faction, corp, or personal). So once you get your faction standing high enough to run lvl4's, you'll be able to run for just about any agent in that faction without having to grind up from lvl 1's.

When you get really high faction standing you can get 2 runs faction ship BPCs from some COSMOS agents.

I don't like it, therefore it is a troll.

I suppose you also support stifling any speech you don't specifically agree with?

Pretty much all this. The only other thing I can think of not on the above list is as another tool to repairing your standing so you can fly in said faction's space again if you went all crazy on ruining your standing to them.

The ability to turn down as many missions as you want without worrying about standings loss? Very handy for lvl 5's
