*Bows head in silence* *Quickly looks up in astonishment* Megamaid! She's gone from suck to blow Well, the jump bridge nerf went from meh to EPIC! With supercarrier being the most isk efficient powerhouse on the field, why use titans now? So now major alliances pretty much move as fast as the small alliances. It seems CCP has accomplished their goal. |

Should be able to adapt. Along with the fleet you just need to include 2 guardians with highs full of energy transfers to cap the capital ships that jump in with the bridge. I can see this affecting smaller alliances that aren't as well organised, or small fleets intending to drop ratters in shiny ships and then jump out before people respond with anti-capital ships however. |

Edited by: RoCkEt X on 20/05/2011 11:05:15 Its true that caps can no longer jump through a titan, i tested this on sisi sometime last week.
CAPS THROUGH TITAN: We used to bridge our caps/supercarriers through the titan giving them full cap when they land - enabling our supers at least to immediately jump out if the **** hits the fan.
Another use for it was you bridge your caps to a midpoint, they have full cap so they can instantly jump to a new cyno, thus extending the instant deploying range of a cap fleet.
GOODBYE DRIVE-BY DOOMSDAYS: After a titan doomsdays, it cant cloak or jump for 10 minutes because of its jumpdrive. There was a way round this:
Titan 'A' and titan 'B' scenario.
*Someone camping a jump bridge lights a cyno, Titan 'A' opens a bridge. *Titan 'B' bridges through titan 'A' (and has full cap on landing) *Titan 'B' alligns out *Titan 'A' bridge ends and he jumps in manually - doomsdaying the target. *Both titans warp to a safe. *Titan 'B' opens a bridge - and titan 'A' can jump out. *Titan 'B' still has full cap, and cyno's out. *The End.
So, why could titan 'A' jump, having doomsdayed, well - bridging uses the jump drive of the ship that has opened the bridge, NOT the jumping ship's jumpdrive, which would be being disrupted by the doomsday device's cooldown timer.
This is no longer possible, so infact - its a stealthy titan nerf too.
An interesting concept for those of you who arent familiar with titan mechanics.
Hope you found this interesting

If I was Titan pilot A, or Titan pilot B, I would have lost the will to live at step 4. |

Edited by: Mashie Saldana on 20/05/2011 11:57:41 That is just stupid that you could titan bridge capitals. Capital ships were given jump capability for a reason.
Also it sound like they fixed an exploit where you could bypass the doomsday penalties. |

the only annoying thing about these changes is that they seem to also have removed the ability for covert fit t3s to jump through black ops bridges, if its what was intended then fine, bit of warning would have been nice but there you go, but if it wasnt can it be fixed sharpish, we were just starting to get some real use out of our black ops. |

Now add 8 more titans to this example and imagine the distance you can project an entire fleet across eve in minutes.

Tears part two happens with the first 100+ freighter losses at gates trying to do logistics for a bunch of unknown morons that just want to run plexs allday

I noticed this yesterday. Originally it was saying that the t3's couldn't jump because of the interdiction nulifier, went refit and tried without interdiction nulifier and still didn't work. Ended up wasting about 100k fuel getting to deployment system for a huge dissapointment. edit: unconfirmed - when attempting and failing to jump with t3's it uses the fuel anyways. |

Wait a T3 COVERT configuration CANNOT jump through a COVERT jump bridge?
Why on earth not? Isn't that what covert jump bridges are for?

"Bug" or "feature", your pick. Anything that can fit a covert ops cloak is supposed to be able to use the covert bridge but CCP's lack of testing and the jump bridge changes seems to have broke T3s. |
