I started playing PC games with Starflight I and II. I noticed that SF have a large influence on EVE.

This Games were pioneering for its time, with exploration, plot, mining and war. One of the things that struck me most was the planetary exploration, where you fell to planets and gain resources that then brought to your ship, fighting aliens. Eve can take Starflight interesting things missing like:

1 .- Multi Crew: 2 or more people can handle a ship, you have several characters, or your 3 characters in a single ship, each specializing in his own.

2 .- Planetary Exploration, down with your team of exploration on planets and asteroids, in RTS or FPS mode, digging up ancient relics NPC or fight aliens on the planet.

3 .- Robots Assistents or Artificial Intelligences like 3PO. Why there not Robots in EVE? Itīs was a war like in Dune Universe?

4 .- Aliens or semi-human races, totally different, with different gameplay, example Surprised:

- A race or electric means, very smart to use the hull like his first protective layer, and the heart of the ship are permanent shields, all the electronics of the spacecraft contained in this quantum shields like the propulsion system.

- A race of intelligent Mushrooms do not use ships, but spores, using giant spores to traveling cheap and disposable bodies linked telepathically with the hive.

- A race of insects, 10 or 20 insects amount to a pilot, that only use asteroids or pieces of rock to travel, giant hulls of solid rock, the metal electronic is lacking, using organic technology and its pilots and navigation systems are bioengineered plants .

- A race of intelligent gas, their ships are huge balls of gas, protected by shields of energy, its integration with the spacecraft makes one.

- Tons of gunshots on Science Fiction

This is a small contribution, I would like to see other approaches to these ideas!

Greetings Very Happy

The idea was brought up some time ago but was shot down by a DEV (if I remember right, the idea was about being able to "dock" in Motherships/Supercarriers and jump with them). Apparently something in the EVE code doesn't like having multiple players in the same ship.

Already in the works. Look up DUST 514.
As for "digging stuff up"... we also already have this. Look into Exploration as a career (find different space sites using probes, hack into buildings and containers, take stuff, make stuff out of it (or sell it to those who can use it)). Wormholes have a lot to offer in this department.

We already have this. They're called Rogue Drones.

We already have the 4 playable races, each with their own distinct ship lines and tactics. The nice part about EvE is that you can "cross-train" to use other racial ships.
As for "aliens"... they "story" of EvE is about humanity and how the different human bloodlines interact with each other. I don't see any reason to add more and "distract" from that "story."

We already have different tanking styles available (i.e. shield tank, armor tank, and the infamous hull tank). I fail to see what you're proposing with this one.

Look up Rogue Drones (same deal, but they're mechanical).

The other stuff is just too... exotic. Wouldn't really add to gameplay IMO.

Rogue Drones are a failed AI experiment from the Gallente....

Sleepers in the wormholes to date are AI. They were created by an offshoot of humanity called The Sleepers, whether organic sleepers still exist is unknown but certainly all thus far encountered are drones. (Perhaps much like the original Battlestar Galactica all that remains of their race are their mechanical creations the species having died out, Cylons were a reptilian species in the original BSG but were extinct leaving only their machines behind which also called themselves Cylon)

When I started the game there was also much more diversification of species in terms of stats. That has subsequently be removed.

There are three more known ancient species: Takmahl, Talocan and Yan Jung.

They are all descendants of Terrans though, and thus part of the Homo Sapiens family.

The Jove are about as alien as we see right now. While still of the Homo genus they are not the same subspecies as the rest of us anymore due to massive genetic manipulation.

We know where Jove space is but they turned off the gates. Takmahl species lived in what is currently the Amarr empire, the Talocan lived in what is Caldari space now and the Yan Jung lived in what is Gallente Fed space. Small pockets of them may exist someplace, it is possible they escaped through wormholes or other devices. Who knows perhaps they ascended (The Takmahl were very religious but the Amarr religion considers them heretical).

Another problem I'd see with multi-crews is the current lag. Time dilation may fix that, but you might as well be in two separate ships rather than one giant ship.

The idea of just controlling different weapon systems and shields is fun, however. I'd like it if we could actually invade ships on foot in Dust 514, but Eve's been pretty tight lipped about what you can or can't do.

See this video, OP. That's where CCP wants to take Eve.

Thanks and nice responses and feedback, I see very cleaver arguments andthe FIction from Eve Universe is in heavy development, but is solid. 514 is on the way, letīs wait for the show them.
