Anyone who runs L4 missions knows that occasionally you get the obnoxious courier missions. Currently my missioning status doesn't permit me to decline these missions nor am I able to swap agents.

To deal with courier missions I am using a Hoarder. The 3 low slots permits me to swap out Expanded Cargoholds for Inertial Stabs when applicable for the quicker align time. The 4.5au/s warp speed is also handy due to 2 systems with a 50au warp between some gates, and 1 system with a 100au warp in my missioning region. Still, I am left with the feeling that there has to be a faster way.

tl;dr- Other than declining or swapping agents, how do you get those pesky courier missions done so you can shoot things instead?

I decline them.

If i get another one in the 4 hour cooldown, I log off and go do something else

well, if you have 2 accounts, keep your alt in fleet while you run missions, eventually you will get them to the point where they can also accept level IV missions, and this gives you more choices. This can give you 3 more mission choices, per account. If any of your alts can actually run l4 missions on the second account, you can get a total of 6 declines on two accounts before not having any work to do.

This is important for my main, which is declining gallente, minmatar, sansha and noncombat missions. if you only have one account get a friend to mission with an alt in your account in thier fleet and just pay them the isk back (isk for thier LP too). Just do this when you are AFK, and eventually you will be able to log on, warp to the mission, bookmark the spot, create a contract to your main with the bookmark in it, then log in with your main and do the mission, and log back on with your alt to complete the mission and/or accept mission items on contract from your main to turn the mission in.

outside of that, like the guy above me said, a crane works.

Blockade Runner has 9.0 au/s base warp, 12ish with rigs, 14ish + implant. Plus about 3 seconds align.

If it is in high sec, I would do it.

If it is in low sec, decline.

Decline it, Take the hit, drop down to the next agent and go and do that one .

it aint pretty but sometimes its all you can do.

Get your faction standings up. Your agent's effective standing can't go below your faction standing, so you can decline missions all day long and be just fine.

Not much you can do but either run it or wait the four hours to decline it.

You could use a bigger industrial though. Bestower only requires Amarr Industrial I to use (plus Amarr Frigate III) and it holds the most cargo up to racial industrial skill III. (Mammoth holds the most up to skill IV, Iteron V holds most for skill V.) Sigil is the smaller version and it's pretty quick/agile for an industrial.

Viator (blockade runner), usually with 2 cargo expanders and an istab or nano. I usually rig them for cargo as I use them outside courier missions. If I wanted to just run courier missions I might rig them for warp speed?

Sigil. It has the highest base speed of the T1 industrials. Unless you get one of those 7200+ m3 missions you should be fine.

Prowler with cargo rigs. If it's less than 5000 m3, I use two nanos. Sub off nanos for cargo expanders as needed.

All of the about either a simple hauler rigged for speed or a blockade runner, always better
10 minutes work for a nice little bit of extra pocket money
Of course that one story line courier mission where you have to haul 40k cargo can take a bit longer and can be a pain in the a**** but nice reward

you can decline (if you have good faction standing enough for all agents) but that decreases the faction standing. not much but it does ... if you do take storylines though you may be able to afford that.

as about the hauler - it all depends on where you do the missions. If its high sec the bestower seems to be enough for everything and you need very low skill to fly it. 1 slot of ECII and the other 3 can be used for nanos for some speed.

in low sec (or if you want faster warp) probably the cloaking transports are best but they need considerable training.

btw sometimes if the agent is offering 2 jump courier it's better to accept since if you decline it could offer 6 jumps one lol.

I mostly do them in a Viator, it doesn't matter where the goods need to be delivered, be it high or lowsec. And because I'm grinding faction standing also it helps get to the next storyline mission faster.

For the mega 40k stuff courier mission I use an Orca with an MWD.

I would urge the Transport Ship route (Blockade Runner) for 3 reasons,

1.) You can run the low sec stuff easy with the Cov Cloaking
2.) Transport ships are fast and agile, gets your mission job done very well
3.) Training to Transport Ships 1 leaves you just about 90 mins training away from flying a Frieghter
