Same here. Can't get access to forums. Going through phone atm. Southeast. Comcast.
However no other sites. U.S. or Euro are affected so far. So It's not just a comcast problem Nor Eve. Whatever it is it does not look like I'm going to get on tonight. So good night fly safe fly straight

Yes it is. Seems to indicate that it probably is related to the new routing layer they implemented in the latest release.

For what it's worth, EvEMon, EvE, and CCP websites are down for me (East Coast, US, Comcast). The websites I checked were eveonline.com and ccpgames.com which appear to be at the same IP anyhow. Had to VPN to a site in the Midwest, US to access the forums (other restrictions prevent from testing EvEMon/Game).

Traceroute (when not on VPN) dies at the 201-126-245-83.packetexchange.net [83.245.126.201] hop as posted by Binky McGee previously.

File a petition and maybe we will get some kind of response on this.

If you are unable to connect to the petition server, try using Tor. It's a proxy service that will change your route to the server. Only some people are having this issue and it's due to their route to the server. Using some kind of proxy will change your route and make it more likely you can connect (to game and petition server).

Guys, CCP cant fix this issue, contact your ISP and let them know they suck and need to fix the routing issues. All CCP can do is tell your ISP's that there is an issue, but its not within there scope to fix this, their network isn't the issue.

Why do you think this? Don't you find it interesting that they just implemented a new routing layer on the CCP network. Just curious what you know that makes you think this.

I am in the Atlanta, GA area and use AT&T DSL, having the same issue. It's not just a routing problem with Comcast, it's a wider issue and it's been happening since the patch yesterday.

How about the fact that its just affecting some people, not everyone, or how about the fact that on the only trace route i have seen on this, it stops right after the comcast hosts

this is before CCP's network, as such it is not their network that is the issue.

In addition seems to be a few issues on some of the major ISPs

You "Know" it was CCP's issue last week, you however do not "know" it is their issue now, unless they state as much, however last week it affected me as well, and my tracert ended at the CCP IP address. though I admit im not CCP and could be wrong.

Unfortunately, they took the new forums down. That seemed to be the quickest way to get their attention before :(

edit: also, not pointing the finger at CCP really. Right now my trace dies at a http://www.packetexchange.net/ router and there doesn't appear to be an adaptation happening to take an alternate route :(

And it again affects people all over, including Great Britain. If you're still able to log in, bully for you, I'm jealous. Stop posting and go play or something. Laughing

Fair enough that I don't truly know, but that's kind of the point of emphasizing the "-know-"; pseudo sarcasm at it's finest. Last time CCP admitted it was the new routing protocol something or other that they implemented, so logic would indicate that when everyone who has the issue has the same symptoms, it's likely the same issue. "Hello IT. Have you tried turning it off and on again?"

No, actually that last router is not a comcast router. That is the router that usually shows up just before the CCP network - so it appears that it is the CCP network that is not responding. A routing issue WOULD make it affect certain people while not affecting others. Everything I have seen seems to indicate a routing problem with the CCP servers.

Also, other providers are having the same problem as mentioned above.

Looks like the issue is with comcast. I can remote into work and connect fine via Qwest DSL but no love on my Comcast connection. Of course this happens while my alliance is in an epic battle :/

Couldnt get on for hours so played Rift. Made a level and a half, came back and still nothing. Hope they are aware of it, I haven't found any of their posts here. I'm getting the exact same trace error I got last time this happened. Didn't they get something to keep that from happening? I remember reading something that they had to keep the connections going that sounded real clever in principle. Oh well.

Its not Comcast, for once. Sent a mail to the support center at packetexchange with the traceroute. Logs like that make troubleshooting lots easier. One would think that after how many years CCP has been driving the idea of logs into our heads someone else would have done this sooner rather than calling the wrong people.
