Hey all,

I need some help deciding which Amarr Ship would be best to do high/low sec exploration/complexes in?

Scanning is not an issue as I have alt which will do all the scanning for me :)

Cheers for all you suggestions :)

Pretty much all high sec sites can be done in arbitrators or its T2 versions.

You will have some problems with blood raider combat sites though because they neut.

However, low sec sites, if they are any similar with the gurista counter parts, I doubt you will find a decent, non T3, amarr ship to fly around.

As someone who used to do sites in low sec, find a ship that has spare high slots for a cloak, probe launcher, be agile(so cruiser hulls are recommended) and have enough stable tank for quite a bit.

Being cap stable is not an issue in L4 missions, however, in the harder combat sites you will find in low sec, you will have to tank a lot of battle ships for a loooong time. Especially if you stick to cruiser hulls for sig tanking and the GTFO ability when local spikes.

IMO while amarr T2 cruisers are awesome for PVP, they are not so great for PVE.

Only if the zealot had a dronebay for light drones and a couple spare high slots for a cloak and a probe launcher.

Also, have mods for travel fits in your cargo(Mwd, T2 cloak, WCS).

When you travel through systems, use the MWD+T2 cloak trick and get through camps.

After you are in a safe spot, cloak up and start probing. If you find a site worth doing, refit at a station(most low sec systems have stations).

However, if you really want a cheap option(that is not T3) for low sec exploration, train for an ishtar.

Oh yeah forgot about that ship.

However, I lost one of them a long time ago at a blood raider DED site(I think it was some 4/10 or something) because of neuting. I have not done any sansha sites so I can't comment on that, but if you are doing BR combat sites, prepare for neuts.

What about using the sacriledge. It can get a great tank but range might be a problem...

Just to throw out there.

Well I just EFTed a Sac fit and it kinda looks decent.

[Sacrilege, PVE]
Medium Armor Repairer II
Medium Armor Repairer II
Energized Reflective Membrane II
Energized Thermic Membrane II
Caldari Navy Ballistic Control System

10MN Afterburner II
Large Peroxide I Capacitor Power Cell
X5 Prototype I Engine Enervator
Phased Weapon Navigation Array Generation Extron

Heavy Assault Missile Launcher II, Terror Rage Assault Missile

Heavy Assault Missile Launcher II, Terror Rage Assault Missile
Heavy Assault Missile Launcher II, Terror Rage Assault Missile
Heavy Assault Missile Launcher II, Terror Rage Assault Missile
Prototype Cloaking Device I

Medium Capacitor Control Circuit I
Medium Warhead Calefaction Catalyst I

It does around 300 tank with TP and a web for smaller stuff. and it also has a small drone bay for 3 light drones.

If you don't need a launcher this could work i guess.
