Thats funny, i have never seen your name mentioned anywhere in the PvP scene before =/. I am willing to go out on a limb and say that the OP bought his account, lost his best ship for this crash....and is crying because he doesn't have the gaming experience to know how to earn back 2billion isk in a reasonable time frame. P.S: This thread has the perfect amount of hate |

I lost 1b isk tengu because I wasn't paying attention.
CCP should reimburse me because if their game was more exciting I would've been paying attention. |

As a professional software developer with 20 years experience, let me offer you this advice: submit a bug report. Quote: It clearly not my machine, but a program. In any case, CCP just being lazy and does not want to even try to check this issue. Better to lose customer. Well. Accomplished. - 3 my accounts, and -2 accounts of my friends are subtracted from your money flow, CCP.
Rage-quitting helps noone. Learn to control your temper, you will find the rest of your life will be easier to manage too. Learn to live with losses, and accept that this is, in the end, a game about loss and destruction of physical things. Make friends and nurture relationships, since that is all that is real. |

Can you prove this to CCP with evidence? How do you know this isn't a driver error or a faulty .dll that was currupted by another piece of software on your machine. CCP should not do anything unless you can do that. You need to prove that it is a bug within the client 100% before they should reimburse or else it would be open to so much abuse it would be silly... |

CCP are themselves removing thousands of customers in their campaign against customers who use bots. CCP are tough, they don't care about losing customers. They can afford to reduce their income by tens of thousands of dollars a month and their investors won't even blink! When it comes to you, the guy in the big chair at the quarterly financials meeting won't even see a blip on the graph. (He will be more focused on the huge dip where all the bots got accounts canceled...) |

1) Don't fly what you can't afford to lose
2) Sort your machine out, clients don't normally crash for most people
3) If they reimburse people readily, everybody will claim they "crashed"
4) In some cases they do reimburse, when they can prove it was server-side problem.
5) I think in general they should remove the reimbursement option and replace it with the text : "Don't fly what you can't afford to lose."

........... You are annoyed because CCP won't reimburse ........
You were in a system where there were people who could kill you.......... with 2B in ship+implants ........ without backup
and you're annoyed
can I have the rest of your stuff? you obviously don't understand how to use it
pro tip: jump clones (if you can't afford to lose your 2b clone+ship, go in something cheaper) clever man |

I guess they should put "don't fly anything you can't afford to lose" in the EULA, since some people are too dumb to figure it out solely from being told such by another player roughly once every ten minutes. |

I would, but The EvE client ate my boot.ini file. Lol I just posted that because of all the people claiming that the client side of the program is the end users ultimate responsibility. Thats laughable. |

Why is it that all these whine threads now seem to involve people claiming to be 03s? Face it, if you're an '03, if 2 billion is a massive enough loss for you to be unable to cover, you have seriously sucked at this game for an unfeasibly long time. |

It is CCP's responsibility to help him get his client fully functional again, within reason. It is not their responsibility to reimburse him for ship loss due to a bad sector on his hard drive, his internet connection choking on the **** he as downloading at the time, the virus he hasn't detected yet, the corrupt cache he has, the fan going out on his video card causing errors, or a million other things at the user end that CCP has no control over and is not responsible for. As someone of his "cough" experience, he should not have to be told this. Everything about this post screams "failed logoffski attempt". Edit: By the way, it can't be legal robbery. None of it was your property to begin with. |

You know than anything more complicated that a typo in some mission text that you submit at this URL is filtered by some fanboy with an extra chromosome or two as unreproducible right? Those are the people that denied that desync existed even at the worst of it. It has been shown many times than the forums were sadly a more efficient outlet to get stuff fixed... That's fubared for sure, but the sad truth... Why CCP chose to rely on volunteer of questionable competence for bug filtering I don't know, especially as they are a profitable company, or were last time they published their financials... |

Originally by: Painpill That issue you have is not on the server end, it is however your own Cache/settings which are corrupt the easy fix is : Go to C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\CCP\EVE and delete the folder here this leaves you with a Fresh EvE client now start the game and presto no crashes when exiting warp
NOTE : Export your overview and save it in another location BEFORE doing this, as it will be as if you reinstalled the game
EDIT : The file path given is on Win7 btw
if only clearing the cache would fix client crashes |
