I was given the Blood of angry men as a storyline mission, unfortunately I was running both L3 and L4 courier missions at same time to the same place and had lost track of mission count, so not sure if I got this as L3 or L4. Money, 500K seems to indicate L3 but might be a cheapo L4.

But I digress, I checked the survival guides for this mission, nothing on any of them. Even a google doesn't give any info.

Anyone ran this mission yet? Only running courier and mining L4's as yet till I get the skill base up a bit. So don't want to warp into a mass of Battleships after my &^% or an "uber" ship, as the target is described as flying a prototype ship.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thx

Blood of Angry Men was given to me as an L4 storyline mission from a Minmatar agent in Amarr space. By the time I had it (end of April 2011) the rewards and bonus were both just shy of 1M ISK.
Not knowing what I was getting into, I sent in my heavily tanked SNI (Navy Scorp) loaded for bear. What I got was the one guy in a BS who was running away from me. After a little while the Amarr navy (I didn't write it down, but it was about 3-4 BS, some cruisers and frigates) wanted me out of the picture. I slowly killed the bad guy, and scooped his corpse for mission completion. I'm not sure that any damage ever appeared on my shields from Amarr, but this was an uber-tanked SNI, so that doesn't say much.
Next time I'll bring the AB or MWD as it took me a while to get to the wreckage without them.
I saw no webbers. There was some target painting from the bad guy and a little tracking disruption from Amarr. Since I didn't have to fire upon Amarr to complete the mission, the only Amarr hit of consequence was -4.0949% due to Derived Modification from the Minmatar storyline completion. (Amarr did credit me with a -0.02 ship kill and a -0.0 aggression penalty which was interesting since I didn't even target their ships.)

all the ships in the mission generally belong to only 1 faction, even if it's not the one you'd expect. (world's collide may be different ofc).

E.g. there's a mission involving an Amarr ship and some Gallente ones, for which you can get the standing transaction "This penalty was for destroying Gallente Federation's Imperial Templar" or similar, which can be a bit Confused

This one can be done in a couple of ways:

1. Shrug off the initial Amarr BS, taking out the elite frigs and cruisers. Concentrate on the 'prototype ship' (Tempest iirc) who will target paint.

2. Ignore the prototype ship until -all- the Amarr have spawned, I recall there being 3 or 4 respawns (all BS) giving plenty of Amarr General's tag drops to cash in on (depending which faction's region you are operating in, of course).

Also, if you do this for the first time, there's a nice element of moral ambiguity and/or power politics in this mission if you're even vaguely into the RP of the everyday Amarr/Minmatar enmity -the brief and debrief should be read carefully, if so.

Minmatar standing gain was 5.52% for this character.
