A battlecruiser which can do ewar is really the missing link in this role of ship, and I think Georg's (spelling?) on-stage design of the Osiris with the marginally useful input of the audience has a real shot of becoming this much needed ship.

zero dps (no drone bay, no weapon hardpoints)
bonus to remote rep amount and reduced cap required
-bonus to racial ew, web and nos, range and strength
something like 8 highs/4-6 mids/ 1-3 lows
crappy cap capacity
maybe give it a salvage bonus too for lols

The fact that it looked a bit spiderish and the fact that we have the scorpion should have led the audience to go for the spider type names.

I hate the idea of a ECM BC. However with a few modifications that 'Osiris' ship was pretty good.
And I agree with the 'other' Hannibal ^ It should of been a spider name as it looked very much like a spider with it's 2 front legs raised and ready to strike.
Not sure what it could be specialised in... Maybe a blaster boat with 10% bonus to optimal and tracking to Medium blasters and 5% to Shield resists per BC lvl?
EDIT: OR IT COULD BE A ECCM BC! IE - 10% bonus to ECCM, make it ANTI ECM! A Falcon killer

Not my idea but some folks discussing on mumble thought it was a good idea. Lots of them fly blackbirds and scorpions and thought a BC in between them would be interesting, so I agreed and posted. I personally did like the name recluse much better for the ship that was drawn. It of course needs a bit more concept refinement because the artist just whipped it up in a quick minute.
The point is, it's a start. |

you are idiots. Just because ccp announces a ship with a bunch of stats does not mean that it is finalized yet. When it hits the test server and everyone molests it and puts in their own opinions ccp will change the stats accordingly. |

Pointing out that you are an idiot. The ship has NOT been announced by CCP and has NO stats what so ever. It was created at a democratic design show at Fanfest and there is not really a chance that it will becoome a real ship. We are just batting idea's around. Please go buy a clue. Hannibal |

Whether or not the ship is real; don't care. But THIS. I enjoy flying the falcon, but think that the world would be, generally, spicier if there was a specific role anti-ECM ship. It is a role that does not seem to currently exist. Might add some diversity to fights. |

Yeah, just what Gallente need, another specialist ship to put Damps on,..
ECM wins the the EWAR war, unless you have more ships than ECM you can spend most the fight getting blown up.
As it is you need to put atleast two damps on any target to be any sort of affective. While a Falcon can take out a bunch of ships all at once. |

Exactly. I started the thread and tossed in the ECM idea, as I said from what I'd heard on mumble during the live stream. It's a discussion. Not a flame war. I think we have other forums in the world for that kind of behaviour? (4chan) I like the comments in favor of and against the ship, and the thoughts of what kinds of roles it should play. I'm very interested in the idea of having a role invented for anti-ECM as a ship benefitting friendlies in a way to protect against ECM. Some great discussions. No Moar Flames TYVM |
