1) if you want to jam sansha why don't you get a scorp? 2) why you need faction launchers on a ship that does frigate scale DPS with missiles? 3) where the hell exactly are you going to find bunch of noobs that will go plexing in a mixed tank gang?

-If you want to armor tank and have a huge load of mids to play with get an Ishtar. -Pick either armor or shield tanking. -The Rattlesnake's excellent local tank is wasted on Incursions. |

True .. just wanted a bit more bang and less cap use, but you are right. Originally by: Tub Chil 3) where the hell exactly are you going to find bunch of noobs that will go plexing in a mixed tank gang?
You have no idea how many junior pilots want to join. Thanks for your remarks. |

Almost anything would be better than abusing a Rattlesnake in that manner. I believe that what you really want to do is either have a ship with a large buffer tank (armor OR shield, not both) with either a spider tank type setup or with multiple logistics providing repping support. Resists for your tank are quite essential.
You don't NEED a faction BS to run incursions. You can quite happily run with a normal, off the shelf BS. I'd highly recommend running with something more off the shelf until you get a good feel for how to properly fit a ship. What you posted isn't even near what you need. And yes, I could post a decent fit, but you still wouldn't get WHY it's fitted that way. That is the important thing, knowing WHY a module goes into a fit and how modules synergize with each other. |

Incursions are meant to be run in *groups* and these *groups* need to do something called *teamwork*
Get some friends, pick one version of tank (shield/armor), get some T1 BSes and get RR/Logis and have a blast.
Instead of having a more expensive Domi, get 7-8 ships for all your friends to fly. |

Eh, TBH, a CNR does much better. In Vanguards, those torps will hit for nothing unless you're shooting the Deltoles in an OTA and in Assaults you won't have enough appreciable range even with javs to reliably hit the majority of the bs in some sites, which orbit around 55-60, let alone the snipers. The gardes do ok, provided you've got the target webbed and painted, but not well enough to make up the missile difference. I mean, I could tinker and make it better, but since my point is "Don't use a rattler, there are better options"... |

Navy Scorp would make more sense than a Rattler. |

Keep going, buddy. By version 8.2 you may have a version that lasts more than 30 seconds. Also, HOLY **** that's bad. None troll reply - if you can fly the rattler, you can fly a Domi. As sentry drones seem pretty impervious (largely) to Sansha aggro, the domi is a great ship for incursions. Just load a huge armor buffer and get those resists sky high (your logi will love you). ECM will ensure that you're primary target. Don't bother unless you're a scorp and have already called reps. If you are flying ECM (and most fleets have dropped ECM in favour of DPS ships by now..) then ANY racial specific jammer will do, tho supposedly people favour using white noise. Webs and target painters in the mids, and all of a sudden you're an asset to your fleet, rather than a lead brick everyone is trying to keep alive. |
