What about an heavy bomber class able to fit citadel torpedoes to counter a super/capital fleet without fielding another capital fleet? Should be a t3 cruiser or a t2 battleship with appropriate cost and related malus, probably without the ability to fire bombs or maybe a revisited type of bomb that doesn't hit hard conventional ship class. To not be overpowered it should also have a nerfed type of cloak like black ops one. |

So, where in your ass did you pull out that? In any case, yes, supercap counter is desperately needed. |

i agree, a subcapital hull costing 200-800m isk should be the counter to a ship that needs sovereignty and a dozen billion isk to build, and a supporting fleet to use, and a holding alt to keep...
you could just give blackops ships an extra hull bonus of "does 300% damage to capital ships" and leave them as they are. suddenly blackops would become useful... their recons/bombers take out the subcap support and the blackops take out the caps, suddenly blackop fleets are viable. |

300% is too low. The cost of the number of black ops necessary to kill a lone supercap will still far exceed the cost of said supercap many times over. Not to mention any supporting blob would butcher the black ops, when do you fine a lone supercap? It has to be so that the "counter" class is more attractive an option than just using more supercaps as counter. Instead of this, they can just fix the dread. |

I get ~1100dps out of my blackops and it still has 100k hp, mwd, cap injector and a point. 5 of them at 300% bonus is around 16k dps. Since supers don't fit active tanks that's plenty. Your bombers and recons that you will have bridged in before jumping will slaughter the support fleet. The only thing missing is a bubbler ship capable of hopping on the blackops bridge. edit: maybe to make it more balanced, +100% vs capitals, +400% vs supercapitals |

How many do you think will be needed to grind a supercap's ehp? Of course they don't failfit active tank, it would be easier if they do. As for bomber/recon slaughtering the support fleet... I don't see that happening. How many and what kind of ships do you think would be in that support fleet? It will have to fail pretty hard to get slaughtered by just recons and bombers.
actually, megapulse redeemer. panther i hear can also do over a thousand deeps. widow around 900 iirc. sin is just lol and should never be used as for the support fleet. take 10 falcons, 5 rapiers, 5 arazus and 20 bombers vs 50 bc's. the falcons will jam everyone, the others will tackle/paint them. they'll drop like butter to a few bombers... |

so maybe anti-cap frigates then.... why should they accommodate those who don't want to field a fleet strong enough to take on a cap fleet? Capitals, the new cannon fodder. yay...

The solution to super cap blobbing is more super caps. |
