Just a quick thought on the amount of DT we have had in a week. Its surely 6 or more hours?
Slightly outrageous? |

Not really.
The only group I have sympathy for regarding downtime are the Asia-Pacific players. I think perhaps CCP could throw them a bone on Friday/Saturday/Sunday and shift DT to 9AM. Won't happen cos the west coast US players will whine louder but something should be done for them. It must suck having DT always in your prime-time. |

wait WHAT?
They're supposed to have 30 mins of downtime a day, not 25 mins and 8.5 seconds!
I demand that CCP improve this situation and hit their targeted 30 mins per day, and if they don't I shall close all my accounts and hurf all over various forums clearly displaying my lack of knowledge and idiocity whilst simultaneously demanding a refund for the lack of downtime that we have experienced.

I must admit the situation these days is much more tolerable than the one hour DTs with annoying overruns that seemed to occur on Friday and Saturday nights. Also, updates on a Friday night seem to have been recognized as a bit harsh on Asia-Pacific players and dropped. Credit where is it due CCP. Carry on. [EDIT] LOL, no sooner do I say that than you bone us with a two hour extended DT on Thursday night. Quote: We would like to thank you for your patience and understanding.

Actually, those numbers add up to 229 minutes. Additionally, that's 19 minutes over seven times 30 minutes downtime. This equates to roughly £0.00034 of gametime that I'm not getting! [insert petulant whiny rant about CCP here] :P |

Removing DT is still a goal. It's just a really hard one.
What we have done so far is take the 1 hour planned DT's (+ extended ones needed for patches/testing/upgrades)and moved it to 30 mins (+ extended ones needed for patches/testing/upgrades)
In anycase... it is better, and still being worked on. |

Me too, trying to do lvl4's, and we got in a system with no textures.... Was fun to see planets without textures, mobs without textures, but I hated the station.... Just imagine someone with ADHD that got "strange mushrooms" in the mail......making the station "when he had the flow of the universe"...... |

Thursday night's downtime is a subtle reminder to the fact that a Saintly man named Patrick would want you to be out drinking until everything is a blurr. So much, in fact, that when you log on the next morning the in game sun will make you wish you were never born. |

Yes, it sucks - not that requesting equity (e.g. rotating outage windows) has done us any good... I'd settle for free SP as compensation, though. |

Forsooth and indeed! I'm sure that the devs are causing increased wear on the EVE gears by not allowing for the full rest period of 30 minutes. Additionally, the hamsters are not rested as much as they should. I believe that ISO 8001 requires that hamsters receive a minimum average of 1.25 minutes of rest per hour in order to maintain optimum operating speed. We want 30! We want 30! |

It's your choice to play a game that you KNOW is operated in a country 12 hours behind you, if you don't like it just stop playing. You don't deserve any compensation because its a choice YOU made. |
