I was just contemplating commenting on how much real $ people spend on EVE. I saw somewhere today where someone was trying to sell a market bot for $750 (I won't say where, not trying to earn a ban), and I thought there is no way someone would spend that much money on EVE. Now this? Some people really have more money then sense.

Or maybe they spend money on products they enjoy and things they like doing, like playing eve. I buy/sell toons and region trade when I have time, and buy plex when I dont. Like summer when im on the jobsite for 12 hours a day. Im not coming home and grinding isk the couple hours I might get on and just wanna go shoot at stuff.

Only notable issue about this list is rmt guys instead of CCP getting paid for CCP's product. Other than that, hows it feel to be poor. Get a job.

When you consider RMT, that $750 could be an actual investment in a real money sense, rather than just an outlay for more spacemoney.

Its not that they spent money for isk, its that they didnt spend it through CCP.

CCP is loosing from this one site close to $300,000 a year alone in sales of PLEX.

You seriously misunderstand something, sir.

PLEX are valued cause they have a purpose : adding 30 days to you game time. That's it. No matter what cheaters, bots, RMTers do, anybody who is actually playing the game DOES pay for it, one way or another. Even when you buy compromised money to buy a PLEX ingame, or directly a compromised PLEX, real money has been transfered to CCP for your subscription to continue, whatever you do. No money = no game time, that's it.

Actually RMT is boosting the PLEX system, since :
1. RMT consumers use their dirty ISKs to buy PLEXs... which are more expensive that regular subscription : "you" (or the guy who bought the PLEX on the first time) pay 14.90 euros/month instead of 38.90 for 3 months (=12,9 euros per month).
2. RMT companies are actually hoarding PLEXes to use them as a money transfer device. As an example, according to EVENews, iskbank have got 5500 unused PLEXes in its hangars. That's 82,500 euros that have already been paid to CCP, and aren't used for game time. THAT is a crapload of "free money" for CCP...

I wonder how many PLEX are buried in banned accounts. If CCP ties the corp to RMT then they instantly make 82k in liabilities reduction.

Considering how "well paid" I hear ccp employees are, thats like 3 more fulltime GMs they could support to find and recapture more RMT assets for a year. If those GMs are any good they could do the same and for the next two or three years CCP could have a GM surge to combat RMT.
