I am concerned about a gigantic broker fee.

For example, lets say the intended sell price is $15,000 and the number of units is 10,000 so the total value should be $150,000,000. But, let's say you mistype the price as $15,000,000 instead. So now, your total sale is in the billions and the broker fee will be gigantic. Are you just screwed if you do this by accident? Can you petition it and get your money back?

that sounds like one of those "user error, replace user" moments. :P If your account age is particularly young, maybe GMs would take mercy, but I wouldn't count on it. Broker fees are meant to be non-refundable.

Under normal circumstances, it's "user's fault, user's loss".
However, in the past, people HAVE petitioned it, and some of them have had the broker fee reverted.
I guess it depends on how lenient the GM you're going to get is and/or how good you are at making others feel sorry for you with as few words as possible.

I've seen people petition this and get their money back, so you still have hope. But always try to be extra careful when entering isk amounts and double check.
