My industrial alt is in a carebear corp at the moment and they were just wardecced and it got me thinking. How easy would it be to make a one player corp, wardec a mining corp and wreak havoc on their mining operations in high sec?

I don't have the necessary skills as a PVP pilot but was just curious how easy this would be. I figured a well fitted BS would have no problem jumping into a belt where a few of the miners were and obliterating their retrievers, hulks, and orcas. After a while, I'm sure they would wise up and start mining with a buddy to protect them but it would be fun for a while.

Your thoughts?

I think it's hard to believe no one has thought of this before now. Really, really hard to believe!

Small carebear mining corps usually disband as soon as they get the wardec notifictation. So who you going to gank? Not all small mining corps are carebears however and you could get into some trouble once your alt/primary is figured out.

How much damage can a small group do to a non-PvP corp?

We had 5 players with problems with a former corp due to their attitude and how they treated us. The 5 of us had minimal PvP experience and what we had experienced hadn't gone well for us Laughing

The 5 of us created alts and with less than 2 months of skill points literally destroyed an 80 person corporation even though we couldn't even put T2 guns on our frigates when we started. They just fell apart under the pressure, it was really shocking to watch.

2 months later we hit another corp who had screwed over our mains at another time. This wardec lasted 3 months and that corp went from 65 players to 15 while we killed them by the dozens. They called us every name in the book in local and PMs and we got one of their members temporarily banned via petitions because of what they were typing Cool

Both cases any one person in the other corp had as many skill points as our entire corporation, but they couldn't figure out how to fight or work together. They started infighting because of everything and basically imploded. Both corps finally died off.

Revenge is a sweet thing sometimes.....

From what I've noticed mining is a profession taken up by those new to the game and those who don't really enjoy conflict, so in answer to your question it would be quite easy to wreak havoc on a small mining corp. Dozens of these kinds of corps exist and it's a good money-maker if you were to ransom them, assuming you upheld the ransom.

You do however need to be careful with who you choose to fight and it's worth doing some research first. My alts corp was wardecced by some griefers who tried to ransom us a good few hundred million isk. Unfortunately for them most of us had at least an inkling of PvP and a quick cross-train to cheap PvP ships ensured our low-skilled blobs outmatched their high-skilled battleships. Griefer tears are best tears.

I have declared war on large 200 man alliances with 7 or so men and taken them apart and been on the receiving end of a small amount of people vs 200 and laughed at their efforts, trapping and destroying their small fleets and the Alliance reimbursing the minimal losses taken by our side.

The difference is that I don't tend to not fly with total noobs and I know how to organise people to fight back and use numbers to our advantage even if we're out skilled. But it's funny when I get raged at and called lame/dishonourable by these people for blobbing (with tech 1 sub-battleships) and using 'lame' tactics like ECM to nullify their neutral RR when they are the aggressors.

Griefer tears. Best tears.

I would say anything is bossible. It all depends how ever your skills, motivation and preparation. If you only have shuttle it might not be smart idea go to war, etc...

Smart one does he's homework before he goes to war against bossible victims. Like how many they have actives, where they usually fly, what they fly, etc... Easy to use locator agent after that even if they run otherside of galaxy.

Sometimes it pays off to be bold and just engage them even if your alone. Theres so many people that are so fearfull of looseing a ship. My main once chased wtīs flying cruisers (As in fleet), while i was flyin rifter (Solo).

Go for it.

I had the same thought a few weeks ago and picked this little russian indy corp to harrass. They have continued to undock and mine to my suprise but here are the results.

Good Times

Technically were a 2 man corp but you get the idea. great fun when your bored on your mains.

Good luck

Lame, as lame as it could be.

When wardeced you donīt mine, nor do you do missions, if half clear in your mind.

In these situations i advice griefed corporation to train an alt (who never leaves station) to be able to be CEO, and when decced by you, all others leave corp to newbie corp, to make you die from boredom.

Go C & P thats where your silly griefing wishes belong.

Lame.

This is exactly why I am in a starter corp--so psychopaths like this guy can't harass me.

All it takes is money and patience, it's 100% doable and happens all the time. It's easier for a griefer to do this if they're flying T2/T3 ships and the wardecced corp is composed mostly of newer characters/players, because then they tend to be easy victims.

However, this is NOT a guaranteed way to make money or get the target corp to disband, on the contrary. For an industrial corp, it's absurdly easy to get out of a wardec like this. How? Bore the attacker to death. Basically never undock. Ever. Deprive the aggressor of targets, and he'll sit there wasting money every week on a wardec, or better yet waste his time sitting around camping stations for targets that never come.

Hey, it's not exciting, but screw the griefer, if he wants to be a jerk about it, then his target can do it right back to him. Besides, most people probably have an out-of-corp alt anyway, so odds are they're playing other characters while the attacker gets bored off his a**.

A battleship is too slow to do that much to miners. A fast bc/cruiser will do the job just fine, once you land on grid they will start to run so you have to be fast to catch your prey. I used to mine, we'd get wardecced and we'd try to fight. We ended up getting slaughtered but we stuck together and had some fun (and sucked the nipple of some small merc outfit eventually haha). Good times ugh

It is possible and can be easy to do. I did it a while back. I made my own corporation and looked around high sec for easy targets to take on. That hard work payed off when I found Arnon. Most of the carebears had no idea on how to fit their ships properly or how to fly them well. So I would wardec corporations with 50 or so people and take them on in my trusty Merlin.

Hilarity ensued. They usually went for the my ship is bigger so I should be able to kill you mentality, but at that point I just had to hug those BC's close and avoid gun fire and burn them down, making sure of disposing of drones first.

It can be a lot of fun as long as you're not stupid and pick your fights.
