Hey, are multiple accounts allowed in eve?

I'm returning to eve after a couple of years break and I was thinking about subscribing for a second separate and making a "mining" account rather than a mining alt on my current account (as I'll never spend any skill points on it) but is this allowed and is it possible to have 2 accounts on the same credit card or even somehow on the same account.

finally would I get in trouble if I used the "buddy program" and get 30days free?

cheers in advance

Yes they are, i run three myself. You can all hook them to the same CC. You need different accounts tho. No trouble if you use the buddy program for yourself, did the same. Go for it!

All of what you mentioned above is not only allowed but practically encouraged.

Except the bit about having two accounts on one account. That just confused me.

Confirming, you can definitely have more than one account, and on the same credit card or same paypal address. You can definitely buddy yourself in, and it's perfectly legal.

Not sure what you mean by "2 accounts somehow on the same account"?

I guess he wants to run all accounts from a single one, which is technically not possible.

Its almost required to have multiple accounts to play the game, so safe bet its allowed.

Running the game split screen ftw lol it would be cool if there was a way to run the mouse over from one client to the other instead of having to alt tab

Run them on two separate computers with separate monitors and use Synergy to switch between the two. :P

Two monitors and run in windowed mode, works fine.

Multiple accounts are encouraged, as seen in the broken ECM mechanics which add absoloutely no fun to the game yet if you have a falcon alt you survive a lot more pvp. There are countless other examples where multiple accounts are easier then combining actions that could be added into more functionality of a single account, but this is the one that annoys me the most. That's the only possible explanation I can fathom as to why ECM is, as it is anyway, an increase of profits rather than fun! Scouting would be another good example, but its less game breaking. One fix to this would be an external station camera so you could see if you were about to undock into death. Could have something similar on gates but then the unknown is part of the appeal when travelling I suppose. Any way just trying to answer your question by saying that multiple accounts are almost a necessity if you want to do any fighting in this game without dying much too much.
