I agree HulkA is daft thing...but this is a game and ppl are allowed to have fun in their games...arent they!!!
If it was me I would just change over to a BS Rokh or Apoc and fit it with mining laser and some 16000mm plates few incursion modes 150k HPs and go mine...... if your ships insured as well then makes it all the better
Why...well 1) you can mine and 2) if they do kill you the nifty API killboard program they use wont accept the kill as points towards competition.... (This was confirmed on there chat channel)
Ho hum.......Viva la Revolution miner!
Edit: The 153+ HP tank was for an Incursion Abaddon...contact me in game if you want fit to adapt it to other BS

You are welcome to try leading a rebelion against Hulkageddon, but I truely think you'd have better luck leading a rebellion against the rising of the Sun. |

You do know that this event was created solely to cause market prices to sky rocket.. The creators of hulkageddon make a royal **** ton every year because highsec miners "revolt".. Supply goes way down, price sky rockets, people who planned for it dump their stock piles onto the market at inflated prices, people buy it because they need it, and rinse repeat the next year....
Some one is prob gonna be very angry I just gave all the idiots of eve their little secret... O well if it helps drop prices some more then it was worth it I guess..

And all those catalysts and thrashers are supposed to just sit there?
I think not good sir, revolt if you must but I will take no part in your silly attempt to anger the pvp gods. They must be appeased with offerings of hulks and macks.

I revolted by watching.. I mined a bit but for the more part I let the gankers fly around looking for a hulk and not find one in the systems I like to mine. also I sold the stock pile of minerals I moved to jita before the event.

Mission Attack of the Drones . I usually do it in 20 minutes , and I get 0.8-1.5 Kk of tritanium , 0.5 Kk of pyerite , about 100-200 K of mexallon , 30-50 K of isogen , and a little (really little) portion of zydrine and megacyte , along with lol 50 pieces of morphite . It's in high-sec . Safe from gankers in matar destroyers . Ijs .

So make your point. The orders I get for minerals are for quantities like 200 million units of Isogen, 175 million units of trit. That kind of thing. I assume it's being used for manufacturing. At 650,000 - 1,000,000 m3 of ore per mining op, there's no way to keep up. I guess I need your help after all.  |

Hmmmm, that explains it. Just return to game for a few months and parked up my Orca and two Hulks in a belt (0.6). Was happily mining veld, minding my own business and googling for pictures of Christina Hendrix, when I was approached by a Typhoon and a Drake. I did a fleet warp back to the station. The two Hulks escaped, because the bumbling attackers decided to target the Orca (optimistic, I would say). After yawning a few times and sustaining ~3k of shield damage, the attackers fell to Concord.
... and now I read there's a Hulkaggedon on and have an "ahhaaaa!" moment.

I love topics like this... It is as if people really think that the only people who produce ships and 'do industry' are risk-abhorrent carebears, when in reality, a boatload of industry is engaged in by 'pvpers' with alternate accounts etc.
Hulkageddon only preys on those stupid enough to get caught not paying attention. Anybody who pays attention and plays intelligently can completely avoid getting ganked. I have heard people ranting about how it is unfair that they target 'defenseless' ships. Well the truth is that the ships are NOT defenseless, because the very best defense is THE PILOTS BRAIN. If you are going to play brainlessley then sure, your ship is without defense, but so is ANY ship you board in that case. |
