Your client has waited 20 minutes for a remote call to complete.
This could mean that the server is very loaded.

Please be patient, chances are that the call will complete eventually but depending on the load it might be considerable time.

I've waited for you to fix dominion for over a year.

The way your product stands right now, Yahoo! Chess is more articulated than Sov warfare. At least I don't have to wait 5 minutes to make a single move.

Whats all this talk about guys leaving for WoT? is this some new-fangled online game that you can actually log into for the combat?

It's on the same node. One of the benefits of reporting a fleet fight 24 hours before it is scheduled to happen is that we will reinforce the system. When people don't report the fight, they inadvertently wind up affecting those not involved at all. This is why we always ask that players report their fleet fights.

Keep in mind that our Team Gridlock is constantly working towards improving performance, and we've a ton of blogs on the matter and have implemented a number of key improvements that have helped fixed performance.

WTB automatic node balancing that doesn't require informing potential enemies of an attack in advance. Eve Devs play, most of us just don't know who their chars/corps/alliances are.

How is it not possible for your dev-team to not know whats going on ingame. One could think that it would be in your own best interest to have a small clue of what the players actually DO when they play.

It doesnt take much to use your own tools does it?
How could you possibly miss that Rebellion Alliance was disbanded yesterday?
How could you possibly miss that the russians would invade that space?
How could you possibly miss that it will be defended by ppl from Gem and Fade?

Someone in your office seriously needs to get the boot and the rest need to shape the hell up. THINK for once! Put your "Incarnia" aside and put some time and effort in to fix that fancy-no-good-for-nothing-server that we (the players) are paying for. The same players that keep your company running.

Hint: MMO Devs, like software Devs in general are lazy.

Unlike regular software Devs though MMO Devs don't get bailed out by the fact that hardware doubles in performance every 5 years which means their lazy bloat code runs exactly the same speed as the less bloated code did on the previous generation.

But yeah, you make a great point, if CCP paid some damn attention TO WHAT IS GOING ON in their own game not only would they not link Venal to Geminate they might notice the regions immediately to the East of Venal and Geminate that have more robots than people in them.

Darn im happy there's an open beta tomorrow in a game you can actually play?

Been stuck at a blackscreen for 55 min's - only thing happening is the "you got lag" message every 5 mins.

this is the worst lag I've seen in eve in the 18 months I've been playing...

In Uemon... my corp mate changed his crystals an hour and a half ago...

they've just responded... by unloading them to the cargo bay.

Yeah, I mean... obviously 20.000 people knew about the fight. How in da hell doesnt ANYONE at CCP know? Show some god damn interest for crying out load.

Im not a part of the russians nor the Northern Coalition but when CCP Fallout says "Ops, I think I got a mail about this one"... I mean come on! Be serious about your job or GTFO. Not only do the players actually have to preannounce their fights (OMG to that alone...) but even when they do, the CCP folks are to lazy to even check their mail. Is that a joke or what.

Council election is soon right? Im not sure of dates or anything but WHOEVER PUT THE LAG ISSUE PRIMARY HAS MY VOTE!

Now.. for the funs... A month in eve cost roughly 15 dollars. Thats 0.5 dollar a day. How many were effected by CCP running ALL OF NORTH ON THE SAME NOD tonight? 10.000? And I dont mean "oh it took 10 sec to undock", I mean "Ive been in fleet for 2 hours firing my gun once because of lag" (yes Uemon I know, even worse). How many billions worth of ships are destroyed tonight because of the lag?

10.000 having their night ruined at a cost of 0.5 dollar a day. Who at CCP will reimburse them 5.000 dollar? I think anyone that were in Fade, Pure Blind, Tribute or Geminate should file a petition getting reimbursement 1 PLEX. Or 1 day if thats possible for the devs to fix. I doubt it though.

And anyone who lost a ship tonight in any of them regions should get reimbursed. NC, Russians, neuts. Heck, even the rats should get reimbursed.

CCP listen and listen good. Tomorrow morning when you all get to work and sit down around the coffeetable. Bring this post on paper and talk about it. Form a group. Form a facebookgroup. DO WHATEVER IT TAKES. You are killing your own freaking game, cant you see that? And no game, no job and you will all be collecting cans outside the local market. (canflipping, lol)

WE all know its Dominion that screwed EVE.
WE all know the Sov mechanics need to change.
WE all know that you need automatic balancing the NODs.
WE all know this and have known it for a year.

When are you going to wake up? Is there no CEO in your corp? Did he left the building?

A wise man once told me. "Be proactive, not reactive".

Just wake da hell up will ya. We are getting tired of your NOACTIVE way of handling problems.

Stop lying to yourself. Do you know you have some excellent programmers and coders in your playerbase. Why not reach out to the community and ask "We need help with this, can someone give us a hand?"

Its our game too you know... Atleast it used to...

/Olga

I've said this before and I'll say it again: I think a lot of the problems with Post-Dominion EVE may be caused by the fact that the complexity of this game has outgrown what an Iceland based Dev staff can handle. Only so many qualified people are going to move there for employment when there are MMO companies in far more hospitable places throwing the same (or more) money at them.

Simply put, they are expanding their Iceland team with talent that probably couldn't get an interview much less a job in, say, Austin or San Diego.

23:42 update!

FINALLY IN GAME! i wonder if it was my post on here that got me priority?

... will update soon...

It seems to me what may have happened is the grid has been extended to include almost the entire system.... i'm currently 3 million kilometers arway from the battle and everything is still on overview... all the locations of ships are updating including their velocities (all be it VERY slowly)... but yes... i'm in uemon and it's unplayable... none of my channels have loaded :)

That wouldn't be a good idea. It would give whichever side got there first complete control over the system, ie: by hitting the cap with their side before the other side can react. Don't think for one minute that wouldn't be abused 6 ways from Sunday by blobbers.

I think I will use this time to get another copy of that open source remake of privateer.

Wait, let me get this straight:

We all know that moms, pre- and post dominion, create a lot of lag. We also knew already that a massively centralized non-descriptive sov system would lead to massive consolidation of alliances to support numbers required while ease of transportation and force projection enables such numbers to move to arbitrary locations anywhere with ease. It was also obvious that creating a swiss-knife combat ship with massive ehp and dps would lead to them being fielded in massive numbers since they're better than anything else.

And people are surprised every single time a new lagtastic cluster**** happens? Seriously?
The "finest" of CCP game design engineered this very carefully to be as bad as possible, making sure every single variable in the 0.0 game is set to lag. If you're still surprised by what is going on, you should really invest a few minutes thinking of current fighting dynamics.

The the lag war is kicking CCP's a**. Don't worry though guys, Incarna is coming!! This will solve all problems (new content to a game that needs serious, serious, serious........serious, serious attention. Great idea)

Judging by their performance over the last 12 months, I'm starting to think that CCP is going to drop this game and use all the Incarna tech on their twilight MMO.

Both my chars are in that system. I was wondering why it took so long to warp to the system. Then I saw 1200 in local and thought I had ended up in Jita...lol.

Trying to do anything is futile. Activate modules, wait 5 mins for one round. And I'm not even involved in the fight.
I wish I had known, that there is a big fight in system.

I will ofc petition for a refund of one PLEX and everyone else should too. Im actually PAYING IRL DOLLARS to play an unplayable game.

My EMO is now over and I will go back to my cave now...

"#"#%!"#%"#%"#&##/()%&/"%&!"

needed to get that out of my system....

now, cave...

Because if the players don't know where exactly a fleet fight is going to take place, CCP will.

Until CCP is finally able to implement dynamic node balancing, we are going to be stuck with this.

i am fine with lagged out systems if there are 1000+ people in the system. This is something thats really hard to address

What really troubles me is, that CCP is not able to do selective system shutdown on systems that are also mounted to this node and remap them. give them a 15 minute warning, shut down the systems and map them on another node ....

Interresting... it's not the word i'd describe it with.

Compleate failure is a more correct word.

Why didnt the node just crash? I've been trapped in limbo, cant log in, cant log out for more than 14 hours.
