Yeah ... welcome to EVE ...

Note that - while people in this forum are mostly fairly helpful - in game - they'll blow you up in a heart beat ...

Be careful of anything being sold in local ... it may be a scam - and that is legal in this game.

Do all the career agent tutorials.

Do NOT get attached to your ships. They are as expendable as ammunition.

Do NOT fly what you can't afford to replace - which means - if you can't buy two of them - you can't afford to fly one of them.

Good Luck & Fly Safe!

This man speaks wisdom.

And.. watch out for Incursion Constellations while the highsec ones dont have gatecamps the sansha NPCs do roam the belts.. and they will make spacedust of you.

Did someone post something like "Don't fly what you can't afford to lose"? Razz If not

Don't fly what you can't afford to lose. also
High sec isn't safe - only safer

That is a big difference - learn about it.
Be aware that almost anything is acceptable in this game. If something (content in contract vs price for example) is too good to be true - it probably isn't true. If you get into situations where everyone seems to be out to get you, you are probably right.

Warning messages on low sec gates are there for a reason, read them.

Other than that - welcome to EVE Very Happy

Free advice:

1. Read the forum stickies. Lots of good info in many of them.

2. Get these:

* EVEmon
* EVE Fitting Tool
* Ombey's 2d EVE-Maps
* Industrial Sized Knowledgebase

3. Don't be afraid to ask questions. Everybody does. EVE can be very complex.

4. Don't do anything you don't enjoy doing. There are always alternatives.
