Ok so i have fit out a damnation on eft and i have put in all my skills exactly to what i have, now on eft it say out of gang and without my damage control running 226,081 hps but the in game it is only showing 165k thats just under 80k hps loss.

I just use EFT as a guide to fit the ships b4 i go out and purchase any mods like alot of you out there, but can anyone give me a hint on what the problem might be?

cause eft is expecting your enemy to shoot you with all 4 damage types equally while ingame the fitting screen expects the enemy to shoot you with the damage that hurts you the most on each of your 3 layers

So if the game does that it reduces your hp?
Why would it do that surely it would be better to show you your hp before anything shot you at all?

Erm no.. you misunderstand.

EFT is showing you your EHP assuming the incomming damage is uniform accross all 4 damage types. So 25% Kinetic, Thermal, EM and Explosive.

EVE is showing you EHP based on your WEAKEST resistances, assuming the incomming damage is that type. So if your resistance to EM is only 20% then it says "Ok this is the worst you can do" and displays EHP based on the assumption you are being hit with that damage type. It does this for all 3 layers (Shield/Armor/Hull) and adds them up. This is why this EHP is lower in game than seen EFT. Its also unrealistic because nobody switches damage types anymore mid-combat.

You would be better off to go into EFT, change the incoming damage to a single damage type (ie: EM) and see the result.
