So I love the look of the Condor and. my rifter is feeling a little underpowered. What's the cookie cutter Pvp pwnage fit for the Condor?

Condor is pretty sucky because it's a T1 interceptor hull and a Kessie will outperform it in every way.

If you really wanna fly it though, I would do the MWD + T2 disruptor + standard missiles.

Listen to the man. If you're flying Caldari frigates for solo PvP, the following ships are viable:
1. Hookbill
2. T2 (Manticore, Crow, Raptor, Harpy, Hawk, Kitsune)
3. Merlin
4. Kestrel
5. Worm

If its not on that list, dont bother using it for PvP.

if you really like the condor hull use a crow.
or if you want to stay cheap use a kestrel

This one I have to disagree - the Ishkur does the same thing better for a fraction of the price.

Otherwise yeah, the Condor is utter trash. Like the other tier 1 frigates it's hopelessly outclassed, often to the point of uselessness.

I did hesitate to put that one there. However I was only including ships which use the Caldari frigate skill. The Worm is viable. You can kill things in it.

Having said that, the Succubus is pretty leet also (EFT says so!)

The worm is actually VERY good.

If you fit it similar to a Jag (MSE, full tackle, DCU) you will get about the same damage and ehp while maintaining a better passive recharge and have more dps in the kite regions at 7-9 km.

Don't let the cat out of the bag..

The Ish is a fraction of the cost.. but the Worm does indeed do it better. It can fit a passive tank that is similiar in sustained dps tanking to an SAR Ish, without the need for cap charges.. and gets a web. It is also significantly faster than Ish.. while an Ish can win dps side, with blasters.. rails its mighty close.. being faster with a web is a pretty huge step above for a frig class ship with everything else being pretty close in comparing.

And dual-MSE, MWD, disrupter Worms are pretty silly and should be fought with extreme caution.. don't got to believe me if don't want to. It's not like strategies and stereotypes ever change in EVE.. the drake and mael are PvE only ships....

I stopped reading right here because if you aint trolling, then you need to work on your Minmatar frigate and projectile skills. Y'know, train them above level 1?

Hey look another Rifter fanboi!

Newsflash: Rifter needs to run away from both the Punisher and Merlin. Overspeedy? Yes. Underpowered? Yes. Theres no power to speak of, it's got good dps but with a tank that isn't very good at all comparing it to the other frigs.

Then may I suggest you learn how to tank it?

Highs:
3 x 150mm light autocannon II

Mids:
Medium Regolith shield extender
1mn afterburner/mwd depending on taste
warp disruptor/scram, depending on taste

Lows:
Any combo of gyrostabs + tracking enhancers that fit

Rigs:
3 small core defence field extender

I use this fit all the time with great success. And I'm surprised someone didn't inform you by now, a well fit Rifter in the hands of a competent pilot doesn't need to run away from either a Punisher or a Merlin.

I'm gonna go ahead and call bull**** right here. Unless ofcourse you're going to fly that rifter with 0 EM shield resists and an empty low slot (or 2 tracking enhancers on a ship that already has pretty good tracking). Shield buffer Rifters can work, but you're 'doing it wrong'.
That fit you posted above has half the tank and only a touch more dps than a standard merlin fit. When you use the 'protection from god'-merlin, I'd be suprised if you even managed to break its shields before you pop. Also the merlin will be able to apply the majority of it's paper-damage right out to scram range while the rifter will be fighting in falloff.

even a merlin with a web and blasters will tear that apart because you won't kite his ions.

and a punisher will shred your 0 em resistant shield tank.

If you serious about caldari t1 frigs for pvp, grind some missions for the caldari and get your hookbill cheap, actually you even get paid for it,
Fit a dual web on it some good rocketlaunchers and a point and you are almost certain death for any other frigate around even the unwary dramiel pilot dies relative quick

Its not quite that simple. There is some piloting required still. For instance don't do like I did with my first one (still got it, but close) and try to kill a rifter with a 5km orbit. If I hadn't noticed in time, that rifter would have killed me.

Having said that, if I'd made that same mistake in a merlin, I'd have a shiny new loss mail instead of being able to widen my orbit and still kill it.
