Where can I find Omber in Calderi space? My location is Haatomo / Tasen / The Citadel. I've looked at a couple of guides but they are so confusing. How can I find out a location close to me? Tanx!

You have to either go to another faction's space (Gallente and I think Minmatar space has it), or get it from missions or in a gravity exploration site. Part 2 of Downing the Slavers (both a level 3 and level 4 mission) has a pile of omber in the first room. You also get some veldspar and scordite. You can farm this mission (by not clearing the second room for a number of days) and pick up considerable ore as a result.

Thanks. I have mined Omber in missions and never thought to keep it. That and Grn Aglaise.

Downing the Slavers (at least the level 3 version) got nerfed in Incursion and no longer has any Omber.

Just come to Gallente space, we have cookies.

either a mission you choose to mine in instead of complete otherwise or a grav site. While they are rare now days, you can still find them occasionally. There are a number that are large and have all omber and kernite.

I've found that gravimetric exploration sites in wh space often have some omber asteroids. Not sure about grav sites in hi-sec space.

I'm in Citadel also, but regularly scan down wormholes just to pop in and have a look inside. This makes them only one jump away from Caldari space, but of course the wh system can be anywhere, bypassing the Caldari space has no Omber rule.

The gravimetric exploration sites do tend to have small sensor signatures, though, so you'd need reasonable skills and four or five probes to scan them down. My skills are 4's across the board (Astrometrics, pinpointing, rangefinding etc).

Have been finding almost more grav sites than wormholes lately, would hardly consider them rare even in highsec.

Thanks for all the replys. I have A terrible standing in Gallente space. So I can't go there. I've looked a little in Anmar space without luck. I have no scanning skills, so are there any other options? I guess I could buy the amount I need but would really rather mine it myself. Thoughts?

I highly recommend that, omber has a pretty good history of being the WORST ore in game to mine. it may have shifted around a bit but I'd bet it is still a waste of time.

Well, based on numbers I ran back on Feb 2nd, Omber wasn't the worst. Strangely enough, Veldspar was, at 81.38 isk/m3. Scordite was second worst, Omber 3rd, Plagioclase 4th at 89.73. The really odd one was that Jaspet, which has long been worthless, was up to 164 isk/m3 because of skyrocketing nocxium prices.

Don't waste your time on Omber when Pyroxeres is worth 50% more.
