the problem with the MWD is you have to sacrifice your tank, which is mandatory to survive drones. Yes, an MSE/DC tank is capable of saving you from average-good skilled drones in most cases but you're unable to outrun lights (which will be sent after you very likely) even with MWD.

Dont put MWD on your bomber, learn how to use AB properly/evade gatecamps.

Personally, I plan to use a Hound to hunt and gank WT logistics (ie: miners and haulers).

Those with experience can probably tell me, at 3200 damage per volley (explosive), am I likely going to find success taking out exhumers? I get that they tend to have a couple of drones.. i'm guessing if they send those my way I need to leave the scene?

Never underestimate the potential stupidity of industrial targets... that prowler tried to dogfight me instead of docking up. Just remember that bombers in general are for killing and not straight up pvp. If you are in anything close to a fairfight gtfo. Used properly a bomber is a cloakie-battleship with a papertiger tank.

well yea that's indeed the main objective, survive to drones and with a MWD you can outrun large and most medium drones (not the minmatar's, can't come up with the name). You can never outrun lights in a SB but how many battleships that you encounter use light drones? I don't see many of those..

If'n you're bubbled, zoom out, look for the shortest safe path out of the bubble, double-click in space, and then cloak. Wait until you are out of the bubble, then warp out. No MWD required.

kidding me? you will uncloak for maybe less than a second but in a decent gate camp they will spot you before you reach the end of the bubble even if you hit ur AB before you cloak up. the bubbles you are talking about are with 5-10people camped +-. if they see you for 1 second and they have inties with drones assigned burning around have fun but I will not take that risk:D

I have busted so many gate camps it is not even funny. Only once did I ever put a MWD on a SB, and it resulted in me getting insta-popped. Since then, I have never put a MWD on my stealth bombers or covert ops frigs, and I have never been caught by a camp in one.

I'm not saying it won't work to get you out of a camp. But if you want to have a signature radius the size of a BC and the tank of a rookie ship while engaging in PvP, go for it. Don't forget your insurance.

its a "common knowledge" that you should send lights after frigates, from my experience its what most people do. However, some of them try mediums, hardly one ever deploys heavies against a bomber. Domis sometimes put out their sentries, which dont hit ya usually.

true that, with MWD ur sig is between a cruiser and BC hull. tho at 800ms and with a sig of 40, did you never got hit by large guns?

frigates 30-50 with mwd = 200ish
cruisers 100-150
battlecruisers 240-300
battleships 300-500

yes I'm aware of that, but not all BS have a large drone bay to fit large + lights or mediums + lights. I lot of BS I saw just used large onces or mediums. the only big problem I had with a MWD fit is that cruise missiles still do quite some damage..

Not that I can remember. Though I would be somewhat impressed if you could get a SB up to 800 using only an AB.

In my humble experience most BS hulls bring Light Drones, typically warriors or Hobgoblins because of the simple basic understanding that large weapons don't hit frigs so easily, in PVP/PVE. So they bring a flight with them to deal with Ceptors/Frigs/tackling Rats.

And Mark's setup works. I went on a roam in a Manticore based around his setup, not as much dps but I went hunting for ratters who were going for Sansha rats so generally weak kinetic resists. Caught a Paladin, had him in about 10% armour before a cynabal turned up so I legged it. LOL. And yes, I probed his arse down in a Sanctum. I run a set of Halo's with missile implants and hardly anything was really being done by the Paladin even with a stack of hobgob II's on me. Also his video is good.

I'd say in terms of hunting solo, I'd go with his method over any MWD method/bomb launcher setup around. The key is picking the suitable bomber for attacking the ships based around what resists they will be weakest too.

caldari bomber does poor damage lacking 2 ballstics in the lows. If you would have been in a hound, the paladin probably died :)

btw. you dont need expensive halo imps, a simple core probe will give you all anomalies within 32AU range in 8 seconds.

Hi people! Decided to fly on a SB. I have trained all required skills to sit in this ship and for fit but who can tell me what others skills i should train. As i understand it is:
Rapid launch -lvl 4
warhead upgrades -lvl 4
torpedoes -lvl 5
shield management -lvl 4
covert ops -lvl 4
maybe something more? My task is killing carebear ravens in 0.0
And if someone had an experience to fly manticore please tell why most of people tells it is not a good stealth bomber? What are its minuses?

covert ops V
all torpedo mission support skills V
thermodynamics (+advanced skills) for overheating

Manticore isnt that easy to fit for solo and lacks damage due to fitting restrictions. Hound or purifier are the way to go.
