The fact that they are omni tanked makes it easier for a fleet to do damage to them not harder. remember folks think in terms of a fleet not each individual ship. if they were say week to EM then the your fleet would want to concentrate on EM damage but since they tank all damage then each member of the fleet can fit for their best damage type (drakes fit KIN and so on) making it easier for a fleet to form up out of random people in local and making your overall fleet do more damage.

i joined a incursion on the first day they really do to much damage and are way overtanked a frig can hit you for over 600+ damage in the small incursions...

A Kestrel can fit for 848 per volley.

A Thrasher can hit for 1754 per volley.

You're getting off lightly, cupcake.

Be glad they dont randomly switch damage types. 1 plex thermal/em or could be kinetic/explosive. only way to find out would be engaging.

I joined an incursion today and a Basilisk started giving me cap so I shot him and got us concordokken.

EDIT: Sansha rats are nothing. Concord is way too OP.

If the new NPC AI is just going do omni-damage and omni-tank all damage types the same what is the point of having different damage types at all? There is none, it negates the whole point of having differences.

Incursion rats, Sansha now, whatever in the future, should still retain some semblance of their traditional damage types and tanking weakness variations.

I would still like to see the Omni-tank and Omni-damage, but with a twist. Allow one damage type to be stonger than the rest for damage, and allow for one to be weaker for tank. Then have the selection be random for each site. Here is an example:

Site A: The rats deal: 20% EM, 20% Therm, 40% Kin, 20% Exp
The rats resist: 50% EM, 75% Therm, 75% Kin, 75% Exp

Site B: The rats deal: 20% EM, 40% Therm, 20% Kin, 20% Exp
The rats resist: 75% EM, 75% Therm, 75% Kin, 50% Exp

This way you will still have to fit an omni-tank, but a little scouting can give you the info needed to exploit their weaknesses. Just like you have to scout and adapt in real PvP.

EDIT - To avoid confusion, the damage % is based out of 100%. The resists and just a strait % like resists are.

The point, OP, is that it allows us to kill you easier. Then, we get to listen to your cry threads. Cool

Its got nothing to do with that knumbnuts, its questioning why Sansha , which one would expect do EM and Thermal suddenly do omni. If Devs want more punch then just make them do more EM damage dont break the established game mechanic to level up difficulty.

Have you been playing attention to the RP? Sansha wormholes are coming from Jove space where they have augmented their technical capabilities with Jove tech, we can assume that Jove tech is related to sleepers are is at least at the same level as the sleepers.

tl;dr You just want to solo tank the rats with some EM/Therm tanked ship.

Supposedly intelligent pirates blindly sticking to two damage types and not closing the resist holes in their tank was always a stupid system anyway. Long live omnitank/damage I say.

As explained already, they still do em/therm.

With their lasers, that is. They just stocked up on different missiles to plug the hole. Pretty smart move as far as I'm concerned, and exploitable by smart piloting to shift the incoming damage away from exp/kin...

Clearly this is part of CCP's hidden agenda to get us to use Defender missiles.

Exactly my point, this is not about difficultly it is about stripping flat damage and flat residence.

Solution:

1) Vary individual rats by resistances and damage type, but keep overall resistances across the entire incursion flat across the board.

2) CONCORD *REALLY* need to be disabled during incursions. Sansha rats shouldn't be the ONLY pirates allowed to infest a system Twisted Evil

It's quite funny that even with all the "unfair" advantages the Incursion Sanshas have, they still get farmed by players.

The vast majority of the arguments against, that I want it easy or PvP fail are just trollish.

The only sensible argument presented, that incursions are supposed to be hard live and/or like PvP does not address my point. Flat resistance and flat damage is just dumb, it strips the game of flavour and dumbs it down to standard fits, we might as well just hit points and one type of module, hell it even defeats the point of having shields and armour. It defeats the entire Raison d’entre of different damage types.

PvP fits do not have flat resitence, there is ALWAYS some variation, even when resistances are (very) high. PvP fits don't do flat damage, different ships dishes out different damage types.

I for one agree. Its all a giant scheme to please the "pve should be more like pvp" crowd. Given that it is totally evident to any reasonable person that pvp and pve are completely different I don't get it but that's how it is right now.

Look right at this thread. Some people claim they use incursions as pvp training (oh boy they're in for a surprise) and others complain that those sites still get farmed. Of course they get farmed because that's whats pve is all about! And that goes for any game I have ever played. Probably the same guys who thought people wouldn't be able to farm sleeper sites. Did they not learn anything? Rolling Eyes
