Simply put a version for ganglinks on battleships:
Fitting Req.
Lowslot
Cpu 50
Grid 1500
Limited to 1 per ship
Skill Req.
Primary Skill: Warfarelink Spec. 5
Secondary Skill: Command Ships. 4
Teritary Skill: Wing Command 4
Ability:
Reduces CPU use of ganglinks by 99%
Allows for fitting ganglinks and Command Processors
Does not improve Ganglink Limit by 1, you still need one command processor to actually fit them.
Advantage is pretty clear: ganglinks on something between the size of battlecruisers and carriers.
Disadvantage: you sacrifie 1 high, low and med slot each, and lots of grid and cpu (250 cpu for the 3 modules and 1750 grid) to actually use the ganglink. They also dont get a Bonus like Command ships/T3 does.
Idea: Many battleships have utility highslots, and in a BS fleet it would be actually nice to use an ganglink too. |

No thanks.
We already have too many ghey healers and buffers. Battleships are for BATTLE. Hence the name. We don't need anymore ridiculous battleship based idiocy like black ops.

hence BATTLEcruiser, which are here to support your fleet in BATTLE ... dont see why battleships shouldnt be able to do this too |

Erh actually, the term "battle cruiser" was coined when Germany started building ships like the graf spree, It had 1/2 the plate of a battle ship, but carried the same size guns.
due to the lower weight and newly designed high pressure steam turbines, it was physically smaller & speedier with more maneuverability than a comparably armed battleship.
having only one gang link bonus works against it vrs a proper booster ship that could support more than one link.
However, my domi gang would like to support this, Maybe the new flagship might sport such slots, and take 1-2 gang links to make 2-5 man gang work ok?
annoyingly it means I need yet another char to boost my fleet :/ |
