A really useful feature for us drone lovers would be to see the damage bars of the drones while they are in the drone bay, not just while they are in action!
When you have to cycle drones in combat it'd be nice to know which one your launching.
Too many times I'll bring in a damaged drone, and send out a replacement, only to find I've sent out a damaged drone or indeed the same one I just pulled in.
Should imagine this is a relatively simple thing to implement within the UI, ctrl-c ctrl-v is your friend ;-) |

Very true.
A tip/work around: Make a group called "damaged" - move your drones into that group while inbound. That way you don't send them back out again when they're shot up. |

Thanks, I'll give that a try, more work for the ol' fingers though ;-). I'm only in a Vexor running 3 Ogres, but still frustrating non the less. |

There is a reason it works like it does, though it makes no sense to me. Something about the way data is stored, and they remain on the server as an entitity in space so long as you can see a health bar.
Obviously the server tracks this info somewhere regardless, since you can pop a drone right back out in space and its sheilds will have regened slightly yet all other damage remains unchanged. Seems like it would be simple to me to have that info displayed from where ever it's being tracked from, but I'm not a programmer, and I understand that what seems simple to me is perhaps not as simple as it seems.
I'd also like a whole host of other changes, but people around here have talked every possible change that could be made to drones to death, and no one appears to care anymore.
Heck, I'd be happy if they would just give me a launch button on the drone interface on each group and drone that changed to a recall button when they are in space, so I didn't have to go into right click menus all the time. Also, allow CTRL+Click on the drone interface to target a drone. |

That is a shame. Thinking of something different: changing the name if they are stored in the drone bay while damaged, so instead of just 'Orge' we will get 'Orge Damaged'. |

I'd heard that, long ago, drones were really powerful but that they kind of went like Gallente -- left behind on most things because "once" they were too strong. Thus the Sleeper AI that kills them off and the like - avoid lag, etc. |
