Well as i know nothing abouse Typhoons, i can help you out with a set-up which is usally, called a 1-shot-volley set-up..
..primarilly used to kill anything small thena Battlecruisr in 1 vollety:

6 x 1400's(w. emp)
2 x seige launchers

2 x Tracking computers (I/II)
1 x 100mn ab
1 x Large shield booster
1 x 20km warp scrabmler

3 x Gyrostabilziers (I/II)
2 x Tracking Enhancer (I/II)
1 x Warp Core Stablizier

Try to mix your drones
use torps in your seiges
When your commander call\s targets have your Seiges on the target and you just look for targets with your 1400's(Blackbirds, Duramallers, inteceptors,Battlecruisers)

iam not that good @ PvP but iam sure others are :)

Typhoon= Versatile
Tempest= WTFPWN Capability...

I've seen Typhoons kill tempests one on one. The typhoon has a large drone bay and a nice powegrid. Tempests beat out 'Phoons for long range, I think in a few ways a phoon can beat out a tempest for survivability. I think it comes down more to what you're more comfortable in. I personally use both, depending on situation.

Shouldn't the Typhoon be better at long range?
It has bonus skill for it and all you know...

But only 4 turret slots. Which is what makes the range bonus a useless one.

Doubt you could fit all that without PDU IIs.... or RCUs

I cant fit 6 1400s and 1 100mn AB with Engr V

lol, 6 1400s and 2 siege with 3 damage mods, 2 TEs and a WC?...LaughingLaughingLaughing

why dont you tell him to fit a jumpdrive too.Laughing

use 5 1400s or 1400 IIs and 5-6 damage mods and 3 cruiser or heavy lauchers with FoFs to give those tackler ships a supprise. med slots, your choice really but i would use atleast 1 sensor booster and 2 tracking comps. but i wouldnt go with a long range setup untill the projectile changes are implimented.

Think of it this way: (financially speaking) Can you afford to loose your Tempest?

Typhoon is cheaper to insure but the Tempest has heavier firepower.

It all depends upon your PvP expereince. If it's limited, go for the Typhoon because its loss is easier to absorb. If you have experience but just not in Minmatar ships, go for the Tempest.

I have not had any pvp experiance, i got just over 300mill isk in my wallet, after buying some weps to test but still i come up with nothing.

so i dont think loosing my tempest wld be a hole in my wallet, but i would rather get used to pvp in my phoon.

so plz keep all the info coming guys :) cheers alot

Kaylona the key of this setup is to get some warp scramblers on the target, drain it and tank it. Where are your Warp Scramblers?

you can't just throw ramdom setup's in to a post. you have to atleasst know they can be done. aside from the fact you don't have the powercore to setup this up, you don't have the cpu either!

Right.. but it can only control 10 at a max at a time so shouldn't you say the "firepower" is 10 (more likely 9 if your minmie) heavies?

Its why I said its a very subjective role and setup. You need tacklers plain and simple. You could gimp your tank for a scrambler but you don't need a web in most cases IF you were to do solo. Like I said... its a very subjective setup relative to conditions. If you have a tackler then the target is dead no matter what ship it is.
