Hey... CCP could you please explain why the apoc recharges it's cap faster when it has 2000more than the mega? It doesn't make any logical sense.

Ya, but for an apoc with 2000more cap to recharge 100 seconds faster than a mega is kind of stupid.

I guess i hastily typed this since I figured CCP would know what i'm talking about. With the skills factored in the apoc has about 7200 cap and the mega about 5400. The cap recharge time on the mega with a similar recharge setup (cap rechargers and such) is about 280 seconds with the same setup about 190 seconds on an apoc.

Cap, tanking, damage, and powergrid are Amarr specialties.

I think their racial bonus is 90% resistance to the TomB nerfstick.

capacitor size is independant from capacitor recharge time.
Now, the Apoc has a bonus for capacitor size, but it's compensated (at least, it's supposed to be), by the Mega damage bonus.

As for your 280 and 190 seconds, I'm surprised by that, and think you made a mistake.

Yes, it does. Especially compared to a Mega.

True, however dy/dx is far greater on the apoc.

"Cap, tanking, damage, and powergrid are Amarr specialties."

"Our chief weapon is cap... cap and tanking... tanking and cap.... Our *two* weapons are tanking and cap...and powergrid.... Our *three* weapons are cap, tanking and powergrid...and damage.... Our *four*...no... *Amongst* our weapons.... Amongst our weaponry...are such elements as cap, tanking...."

;s

(oh and Megathron with 7 ion blasters outdamages the Apocalypse with 8 mega pulses by whole 15% or so. i.e. something single damage mod can cover. Sh.tty Amarr damage indeed...)

here we go again.... its the GUNS that need boosting/nerfing not the ships. I was thinking alot about this from all views. TomB NERF the cap need on blasters/rails and add a MWD bonus to mega...

^^^ Kaeten, you say the ships don't need boosting but that the mega needs a MWD bonus?
I think it needs a flat cap bonus so that it is CLOSER (not equivalent to; maybe equivalent before the 5%/level amarr BS cap bonus) and maybe a little more CPU. Also I could ask for 3500 drone bay just as a pleasant but not game-changing acknowledgement of the gallente drone speciality.

So the graph for cap recharge rate against current cap% isn't linear? I always assumed it was. When does it peak then, do we know?

edit: also, I am firmly in favour of NO NERFS to large energy weapons in tracking/damage (range would be acceptable, if it had to be anything) or to the apoc. The apoc only has this strength, it's not a particularly damaging ship so there is no need to downgrade it.

Boosting/nerfing means taking something away, or giving soemthing. If it was givin a MWD bonus instead that would be swapping bonuses around, not nerfing/boosting. READ
