By now most people know that Sansha is planning a big offensive in Anyed, Imya, and Antem and the whole Monalaz constellation. They are now tracking CONCORD which would lead people to believe this is going to be there objective in the coming months/years for a large scale assault.

My Question is what if this is just a ploy to get us to focus our forces there and they end up attacking somewhere else?

What if they attack Jita? an attack on Jita would devastate the Interstellar economy and would soften our ability to counter their invasion.

This is just a theory but I believe a valid one.

It is a valid theory. However, on a typical day, you can find over 800 ships in Jita. And I would hazard to say at least 300 of them are combat worthy. I'd also hazard that there would be another 400-500 ships within 3 jumps of JITA at any given time.

JITA, while it would be a nice jewel for Sansha, would probably be the toughest nut to crack.. And, I don't think that Sansha could get the caliber and numbers into Jita that he'd need to take it.

it could be another system then

This should be kept in mind by every one before committing to Monalaz

That's probably not in their best interest. I'd venture to say it would be more profitable to strike at softer targets in order to build their numbers through nefarious cybernetic conscription. <.4 worlds are ripe for conquest.

I would disagree that sansha couldn't take Jita.

The Nation is bold and has no regard for the life of their ship's crews.

a few nights ago when they attacked Serren III there must have been thousands of Sansha Nations Ships from Drones to Super carrier.

And judging by the increased intensity of the attacks over the last few weeks it is easy to estimate Sansha must have 100s of thousands of ships ready to die for their foolish cause.

This is not a time to underestimate our enemy. if we do we may not survive the coming battle. I lost a lot of loved ones in Serren and I dont intend on letting it happen again.

I believe there's a greater danger in Sansha attacking Jita. If he does, he'll instantly become a hero to many capsuleers across the cluster. Because frankly most of us hate Jita.

as much as I may hate Jita as well. if it falls to the Nation, millions would die not only from the battle but from a disrupted food and water supply.

isk would become useless and we would go back to the days of barter... ill trade you 5 mining crystals for 50 crates of wheat and 15 bags of seeds....

ok that may be an exaggeration. but it would disrupt trade and ISK value this is not acceptable. all the lives lost so far and to come are no acceptable.

The N.M.C. WARSPITE (Hyperion Class Battleship) will be ready to take on the Sansha Nation no matter where they are for my wife and son may they rest in peace.....

While Jita is a primary trade hub for the cluster, there are plenty of lesser ones.

ISK as a currency will survive as long as capsuleers do. we are already the primary economy of so many people that the fall of Jita would do little to change the lives of most of the planetbound in the cluster.

Jita's fall would however have a drastic effect upon the capsuleer community.

Consider how many billions of isk worth of property is currently held in system for quick sale.

That said, i have no idea how badly the severe spatial distortions that seem to plague the jita system would affect nation wormholes and ship movements... i believe it would at least hamper nation efforts in the system.
