I love the drake because I am a caldari fanboi. Here's what i would do for the drake...

+50% hitpoints

+1 Missile Launcher Hardpoint

+1 Midslot

+25m3 drone bay.

+Grid/CPU

What would you change for the navy version of your favorite Battlecruiser?

I'd rather see them design fresh new hulls for the pirate factions, if they ever get a battlecruiser class.

EDIT: Navy huh.. a navy Brutix with +1 high, turret or just utility idc and +1 low would make me extremely happy.

Change resist bonus from +5% per level to +6.2% per level (+31% at lvl5). Also give it a bonus to using heavies against frigates. You know, explosion velocity bonus, and explosion radius reduction.

Also a bit more CPU and grid, because some fits are a bit tight, although nothing painful.

And maybe +10 m3 drone bay, so I can carry 2 spare drones in case some of them die.

Oh, and that's the Drake, the only BC worth flying (except for the Nighthawk, which is severely grid-challenged).

Would love to see a T2 or Navy version of the Drake. Now that would be a command ship. As the Nighthawk already has bonuses to missile exp velocity and AML RoF, I don't think it would be good to have a Drake version that overlaps the same niche bonuses. So we'll buff it to deal with the same-size or larger threats instead of the smaller ones.

Lets see... it already has a monster tank. So no real help is needed there. What it lacks is killer dps. Maybe give it a bigger drone bay. 50m3 instead of just 25m3. Let it field a set of medium drones. Though that is not very Caldari, it would give it a use for that utility high other than for a command link.

Speaking of command links, give it the grid/cpu to actually fit one in addition to the standard buffer tank and set of seven missile launchers.

Faction/T2 ships typically have an extra slot. I would definitely make it a low slot. That would give you the option of fitting a speed mod, a DCU for even more tank, an agility mod, or a fitting mod for some oddball fits.

As a Command Ship, keep the bonus per level for kinetic damage and shield resists per BC level. Give it a 5% bonus to missile launcher (HML/HAM) RoF and missile velocity per CS level. Perhaps allow it to use one additional Command Link as a role bonus, putting it in the middle ground between the Vulture and Nighthawk. Trade-off there is of course having to remove a launcher to fit the additional command link.

As a faction BC, perhaps expand the damage bonus to all damage types (5% bonus to HML/HAM damage per level), or replace it with an equivalent RoF bonus.

Something fast with launchers and bonuses for them, shield tanker.

While faction BC would undoubtedly be awesome, then I regret to inform you that there is currently no room in the line-up for them.
If you look at what can be done in tier2 BCs as they are now, you'll notice that the distance up to tier1 BS is marginal at best and is mainly a question of weapon ranges .. tanks are about equal when you factor in speeds and signatures.

Faction BC's, with all other things remaining as is, will outperform tier1 BS in neraly all areas, hence it is a bad idea (unless they are made into non-combat vessels).
