1) I like the way we are taxed when we import and then export PI materials. Lets have another tax when we import/export from the Corp Hanger to make it a bit more costly.

2) Can we have a Gate Fee, like the old turnpike. Want to use a Jump Gate, Pay 5000 Isks a go.

3) Hey, lets make Jump Gates and Stargates not available to anyone in high sec unless they jave zero or better standing.

5) Lets us make Loiter-at-Gate timers, and if you want to stay within 10k for more than a few moments, you have to pay a fee to concorde. Let the fee rise by a fixed percentage each time you extend your stay.

6) Mining laser chew rocks and metal asteroids pretty good. We should be able to use them to do damage to other ships like any other weapon. A well tanked cruiser would last, say, 5 seconds before losing shields, Ten seconds to the hull burning through?

And again, Do Not Permit Anyone with sub zero standing with concorde into Hi Sec, or remove the HiSec, Low Sec rating completely.

Just a few thoughts that have bugged me, simple to fix no doubts.

Make a Faction standings reset available via PLEX.

It would be nice for those who engaged heavily in FW, then grew bored with it and afterward found that they aren't able to join certain corps because they are now KOS to npc's in half the known universe. Also for those who have (perhaps through poor planning and pirate missions) managed to get themselves borderline KOS with all the factions, it would be very convenient..

Sure, you can do low-sec missions until you're able to re-enter highsec again, but given how some standings fall as others rise, you're simply trading which areas of space you won't be able to access.

Note that with a complete Faction (not NPC Corporations, just Faction) standings reset, this person would temporarily lose access to all his research agents, all his mission agents, all his locator agents, and basically have to start grinding all over again, but the point is, if it was important enough, he would have that option.

And since it has virtually no impact on anyone else, nor gives any sort of competitive edge, it probably won't result in too many suicide-threats from the playerbase.. Probably...

Oh, and having "like" buttons for the forums would be a nice touch, and probably cut down on the number of needless posts. Very Happy

First off:
Combat in EVE could look like the cinematic trailers of other games, due to the very nature of the gameplay. What we see instead are crosses in space that make me want to turn off graphics altogether and play a text-only version on a smartphone instead.

* Graphics
- Battleships just don't feel like I think they should. This is a space game, alright. But look at old WW2 battleships and the most outstanding features you see are the colossal guns, clearly visible from far away. Those are complemented by a whole battery of small support guns. They were platforms loaded to the brim with weopenry. If I want to see the guns on my Hyperion I have to zoom in, and then all I see are tiny barrels that look like they could hardly kill a fly. Then again, if you compare the size of the actual gun on a battleship with one on a rookie ship you'll notice that the rookie guns look much bigger. This just feels... wrong. The larger the ship, the smaller the [Weapon Size]/[Ship Size] ratio gets. Looking at a titan I really wonder what they're using all that space for...

- Why oh why do turrets only target one or two points on an enemy ship? Seeing lazers from 100 ships all hit the exactly same spot on an enemy tower just looks sooo stupid. And why do shots that don't hit a ship still graphically hit it? It would be nice to see a projectile actually miss a ship, if it doesn't do any damage.

- Epic space battles are mostly redruced to shooting dots and crosses. I think this is just a matter of scaling. Make the ships 10 times bigger and you'll actually see the ship you're shooting. Maybe keeping the physical model but introducing a switch to zoom the ship models could do the trick?

- Turret projectile and hybrid animation effects should be more ... persistant. Beam lasers look so cool, because you can actually see them and have the time to appreciate them. Hybrid and Projectile effects are gone so fast that you can hardly notice them. This is such a waste, because if you happen to capture the effects on a screenshot they look really cool. Also, if the weapon size increases (see point above) so should the effects.

- Damage effects... 100 ships shoot a structure, and all that happens is... nothing. No dent, no scratch, no bullet holes, nothing, nada. This seems plausible only if you're shooting the shield. In a fiercy battle, let small pieces break off a ship, only to see it rebuilt by the ship's armor repper.

EVE could be the coolest looking space game out there. The awsome trailers published every now and then show what the engine can do, make use of it! Why use dev-haxed effects only for trailers? Most of these changes mentioned above are only client-side and don't have to be consistent with gameplay mechanics.

Ship scaling sucks. A BS is nearly less than half as big as a carrier, yet a BS e.g Machariel, looks bigger than a thanatos when they are side to side.

All in all the sense of sheer size, distance and speed is not well illustrated in game. Needs improvement.

Drone Settings: be able to set target priorities by ship class and drone size. Light drones flying off to shoot a BS, Heavies chasing down FR is pretty crap.

This way, you could set your Light drones to start with FR and work up, Heavies would start with BS and work down, etc.

With higher resolutions and now with better characters, the portrait size in chats seem so small, it would be nice to set them to any size you want or scale to your font or something.

I wish the default were to see the drones in space/in bay not to hide it. Other option would be is if we set the drone display to see the drones in bay or in space that it stay that way.

I don't know if this annoyance has been posted yet. It is something that my CEO and I have recently run into.

It has to do with Giant Secure Containers. In a station you can open them up and drop stuff into them or just drop stuff into them by dropping it on top of it. This works both in a station and in ship cargo.

The annoyance comes from the fact that this does not work if the GSC is in a POS. I've found that you can drop stuff into them by dragging the items on top of the container. You however can not assemble the container in a POS or open it up. This is a huge inconvenience and is something that I hope will someday get addressed.

One should be able to at least petition to get this little but annoying task done. Talk about a papercut that bothers. I just want to clean up my skill sheet and get rid of mining level 1 and a few others I accidentally trained. Refund me the SP and I will be ELATED!

This is my one issue in EVE that drives me nuts.

Oh also - MAIL - Ever since Apoc I think it has been stored locally. WOW - annoying. If I delete the email I want it gone for good. Not to show up the next time I reinstall EVE or log on at someone elses computer. You basically made it to where in ten years I will have 10 thousand emails when I reinstall EVE. Bring back the old way or at least let deleting it have some meaning!! PLEASE!

Probably won't ever happen, but hell yeah I'd ditch all those useless asteroid refining skills from when I foolishly thought I would pursue a career in mining. Even at a 3:2 or 2:1 ratio. I don't care. They're an eyesore on my skillsheet and will never see any actual use. Blargh.

Salvaging - if the whole batch doesn't fit, it disappears into space (all of it). What should happen: what'll fit into your cargo hold goes there, the rest finds its way into a cargo container floating in space owned by the owner of the wreck.

And sometimes when I target something, it'll boot me from EVE, and then the internet connection between my computer and EVE (including forums) will freeze up for 5-10 minutes.

I don't like how destroyers, cruisers, and battlecruisers all have the same size cargo holds. The larger ships not only would make sense to have more cargo room, they need it for their ammo. If it's about not letting them have too much space for capacitor booster chargesm then I have news for you: what's enough for a battlecruiser is a LOT for a destroyer. I made a frigate that could run a small shield booster nonstop for almost a half hour with a capacitor booster. Increase cruiser, battlecruiser, and battleship cargo space, and make capacitor booster charges bigger.

Hold shift when you select show info


Or uncheck the try to use existing info window if any -option. That way it opens a new info window each time.

Tie the in space fitting restrictions to the number of people who are actually requesting to use the specific fitting module/ship. The notification that i cannot use a fitting module/ship because there are more than x ships in the vicinity (and doing nothing) is more than annoying. Also it seems that it does not matter, which carrier i choose for fitting my request is translated into the closest entity with fitting capablity ... if that one has not configured for fitting ... bad for me ... also extremly annoying

I kknow the drone interface is already being looked at but i figure it's worth mentioning.

Please add something that oraganises drones better.

I know we can make folders etc for them, but then we have to drop them into each folder for each ship and ever time we get new drones.

if drones could just be automatically put into groups for their class that would be great.

Doesn't WoW all for streaming new stuff in to the client as you run around? I'm not sure it'd work THAT well but if a player has never visited for an example an Amarr station or seen an Amarr gate... why do they need those sat on their machine from day one?

And yeah, either carriers need to be a damn sigh bigger or some of the BS's need to go on a diet. Sitting in a carrier and watching a battleship loom over you is... odd.

Not really an inconvenience, but more a slight annoyance.

I find the textures for capital ships and some battleships (raven for example) rather low quality compared to textures of the others. And yes, I do notice it even with the distant camera given to capitals.

I think this is due to the game using the same 1024x1024 texture max limit for every ship, which works fine when you're talking about the small fry, but on bigger ships - especially ones with lots of flat areas - it frankly looks weak.

My suggestion is to introduce re-drawn 2046x2046 textures for the capital ships and possibly the more complex battleship models. Graphics cards can load these textures with little hassle nowadays (though maybe limit it to the high quality setting) and mipmaps will cover anything lower.

I honestly believe this will increase the visual quality of the capital ships - if you want examples of the current state, look at the Nyx or Revelation as prime examples of the textures being stretched a little far.

It's a bad sign when the Avatar has the same texture size as the Apoc, in my opinion.

I trade, and yet i have no idea what's buying and selling. With the real-life stock market there's a ticker and you can watch the transactions as they occur. It'd be nice to have the same in Eve - a log of each successful buy-sell transaction in the current station. That'd also be a way for players to sort through the 1000s of modules and know which ones people actually use frequently.

  • When launching drones, even if you have the "drones in space" already expanded it often collapses after the drones are launched. Does it really need to collapse the list to refresh? It's a pain when launching and retrieving drones to keep them from getting ate up by new spawns.


  • Also, you can assign a hotkey involving everything drones/fighters do except launch them. It'd be just too great to be able to launch drone groups with a hotkey.


  • A simple tool to sell many of items at once based on best prices available, for those in a hurry and not concerned about getting the best prices by clicking hundreds of time on their loot.

Prior to courier missions, agents complain if my current ship doesn't have a big enough cargohold size for the mission. Often I have an industrial in the same station with plenty of capacity to carry out the mission. The agents should be smart enough to not give me this error when it's obvious I have a solution (1) ship in same station (2) solved it many times before for the same agent. It's not like they couldn't look up in their PC what ships I have docked in the station...

When you complete a courier contract, you get an error when you press the complete contract button if you didn't manually drag the package into the station, but with an agent you can complete a courier mission with the content still in your ship cargohold. Courier contracts should also work this way, both types of courier activities should have consistent UI requirements.

Here's the things I'd like changed...

Drones:
-Focus Fire working all the time
-Being able to see the correct amount of drone damage, shield/armour/hull points, etc based on my skills and active ship
-Being able to see shield, armour and hull status of drones in the drone bay
-Some drone damage rigs for non-sentry drones
-Ability to reconnected to lost drones rather than having to scoop them to drone bay which can requiring flying a long distance in a very slow boat; though not loosing drone connections on d/c, etc would be better still Smile

Missiles/Turrets:
-Being able to see the correct missle damage, velocity, flight time, etc based on my skills and active ship
-Having turret fire miss the ship when it misses

Ships:
-Can I have more Gallente drone boats? Please? Pretty please with sugar on top? A drone based Frigate (Incursus hull with 25m3 drone bay and drone damage, etc bonus?) for starters

UI/General:
-Random Wallet blinking
-Session Timer countdown rather than the spinning wheel that you have to mouse over
-Why do I have to claim certificates? Can't I just be awarded them?
-Why can't I logout back to the character selection screen?
-Why can't I free slaves or release captured janitors, dancers, etc? I don't want to trash or sell other people (I'm not Amarrian slaver scum Razz); I want a nice RP option

-Containers:
* Being able to move and stack items in my cargo hold whilst cloaked
* Getting messages about imploding cargo containers when trying to move items
* Having assembled cargo containers being the same size as repackaged ones
* Being able to rename a container in a my ships cargohold
* An autostack option
* Being able to sell and reprocess items in containers in station
* Being able to stack items when the container is full

-Windows:
* Not having open, stacked cargo container windows closing when I jump through gates or dock (also having drone groups collapse after jumping... I want my windows to stay how I set them after jumping or docking)
* Not having windows sometimes deciding that they want to be a different size, location or stacking up without asking me
* Not having a window update stop me dragging and dropping items between containers
* Not having the agent conversation window sometimes stop showing the available mission details and having to press Request Mission before I get to see the details
* I'd like a window for mission messages, incoming/outgoing damage, etc

-Flight:
* When I've set my default as Warp to 500m, why do I randomly appear anywhere between 3000 - 0m from my target?
* Having an option to set camera to a locked ship-relative position
* Full Camera rotations on all axis

-Not having to complete training on a pre-requisite skill before putting another skill in the queue
-Being able to hand in and accept missions remotely
-Having all neocom buttons both open and close their respective windows

I'd forgotten about some of these until I started reading this thread and even with them its still a great game, but if you can fix some/all of them that'd be awesome. Great thread too Very Happy

COSMOS BPC

At the moment these are hidiously expensive to manufacture and generally inferior when compared to Faction, T2 and officer mods serving the same function.

If they are really advanced technology of the ancient races they need buffing.
If they are cheap imitations they need their manufacturing requirements reduced, e.g. removing their consumption of decryptors.

Armor plates: vastly more expensive than malfunctioning shield emitters though used for similar rigs. This results in armor rigs costing whole digits more than their counterpart shield rigs. It's not like armor rigs are superior, so why should they cost more?

Either increase armor plate drop rates or decrease the amount needed for various rigs.

*I use containers to organize my stuff in station. But I can't repackage nor repair things inside, very unconvenient.

*Guest tab in stataion refreshes too fast then I can hardly click the right person I want to trade.

*There are something worng in overview that I can't show wrecks only or something similar to this. Maybe I need to create a bug report for it.

*Directional scan is not very friendly to use.

*Industrial installation is slow and stupid. Every time I have to choose the "Current region"->"Advanced Lab"-> "A ME/Invention slot" for every installation. Not good for invention in small stuffs.

*Overheat green button is hard to get click,especiallly when in combat.

As we all know, EVE-Online for many of us is just a cute graphical frontend for <insert your favourite spreadsheet software here>.

Something that I would like to be able to do is to Copy and Paste data from any table presented by the game client. e.g. the transactions table or the market data table. Just go in, select the rows I want and copy them to the <insert your favourite spreadsheet software here> for further processing/analysis.
