As far i can see, this particular traffic shaper which seems to cause this is used by some 1100 isp's, universities and other networks. Some that i've discovered are ..
Bahnhof and Comhem in sweden
Telenor in norway
UCSJ in denmark
Optus in australia, Flinders, LaTrobe, ANU, Victoria, Ballarat in australia
Singtel in singapore, National university of singapore
Itec and Hanaro in korea and Yonsei, Chosun and Daegu universities in Korea
Dautkom in latvia
"R" and Yoigo in spain
FPT in vietnam
BOKU in austria
Several universities in usa; Vanderbilt, SAU, PBCC, ONU, REMC, LeTourneau, IIT, Heidelberg, CWU, Bowling Green, Keene State, Union University, ...

I can't tell in which way all these use the shaper, it seems possible to install/use it in many different ways and maybe not all of them are set in such a way it affects eve-traffic, but it's quite likely that this is the reason if players on any of these networks have lag or disconnects after the latest expansion.

Call your ISP and tell them to update their traffic shaper asap.

Checking the signatures available for download on the manufacturers' website, there's (at the time of writing) still no new update listed in public.

I would recomend the SWE players to call Bahnhof and tell them about this problem.
Just called them and i was only the 2nd one to inform them.

I'm calling first thing tomorrow morning. Is there anything else i should mention except the outlines of the problem and for their technicians to take a closer look at their traffic shaper and to update it?

Not experiencing the dc´s now but still sluggish gameplay.

Sluggish again, with DCs. Did a traceroute, and the same hop at Bahnhof is bottlenecking again.

Considering there is a sticky about this issue in GD and they have found the problem and can point the finger towards the isps I would guess never.

Also Swede with banhof can play but very sluggish and some things takes ages. We need to get banhof to fix this.

The only sticky about that I can find is a "Socket error" and that one is not the same issue. And if you are talking about the firewall change well, thy don't mention what that change is going to do.

Any how, they changed something in the patch that caused this.

According to Bahnhof, they have updated their signatures so their customers should not experience any problems accessing EVE now.

If it is not the case, please let us know!

I had a couple of decent hours last night with 2 DC in 3 hours.

This morning I can't even log in without crashing. I get past the character select screen and then crash in space.....

UK ISP = O2 with no ther internet issues.

Incursion not impressing so far folks!

Confirming same problem with Optus in Melbourne.

CCP - please contact Optus to assist them in fixing the problem - your game is currently unplayable through one of the largest ISP's in Australia!

Cheers,

Great! Bahnhof called me to inform they had fixed their problem. Awesome customer service, but it pales in comparison to CCP's effort on this matter. THANK YOU CCP for contacting Bahnhof.

I gave Bahnhof my pingplotter loggs and today it seems they gave the hamsters more food with normal EVE speed. Yay, I dont have to change ISP.
