I doubt you'll want them when you get the quote. Each rig will take like 5 intact armor plates to build. Add the cost of the bpcs, and the markup for profit...

Unless you are salvaging in a SC, i would only get T1's |

Indeed to the above - most T2 rigs are pointless unless your in SC for pvp related.
Salvage tackle II = waste of ISK. But if your loaded, and have nothing else to spend it on ... Im sure there is someone out there who will build you some - make a WTB thread? |

The biggest problem is that salvage tackle rigs are under armor rigs, and they require the same components. Intact armor plates are insanely expensive because supercap pilots want tech 2 trimarks...and everybody and their mom seems to have one. Too much demand means that even the small tech 2 armor rigs aren't worth the price. |

And intact armour plates are only salvaged from T2 ships? |

Could make them trivially, but you need 4 Intact Armor Plates to build from an optimal ME BPC so they cost around 140m/unit to invent and build. Since you're not one of my space-buddies, the asking price would be 170m/unit or thereabouts. I am not kidding. Originally by: Headerman And intact armour plates are only salvaged from T2 ships?
Or from faction Sansha/Blood/Drone spawns. |

Arent IAP in 40M zone, plus you need like 10M isk decryptor to invent anything of good BPC ME sort? Originally by: Ophelia Ursus

Serpentis as well (anything that loots broken plates - its faction rat can loot IAP...). But rarity of such materials is breathtaking. |

Pity the poor guy who had enough tech 2 salvage to build tech 2 rigs and then they were changed to different sizes. Said person now has tech 2 large rigs and not nearly enough salvage. Getting tech 2 salvage is however not impossible, just if you are willing to wait/pay for it :P |

At what price for IAPs does it become worthwhile to blow up your own cheap T2 ships for the salvage? I can't imagine that price point is that far off . |

Tech 2/3 player ship wrecks, and npc commander/officer wrecks. (overseer wrecks too possibly, not sure about that) Originally by: Mavnas At what price for IAPs does it become worthwhile to blow up your own cheap T2 ships for the salvage? I can't imagine that price point is that far off .
I knew a guy that was self destructing vengeances on the test server and recording the salvage to see if it would be worth it....wasn't. |
