Hey guys,

Now if anyone PvPs out there they will tell you that you can't get a Cov Ops, Nul T3 unless it is baited which is true. The only way to get one is sit 50 disco domis around a gate with scrams webs and ceptors which is practically impossible.

Tech 3 Cruisers with Cov Ops, Nul are untouchable, now if we look at other ships in EvE they are ALL able to be cought by some means such as covert ops frigates can be cought by standard bubbles and other ships such as cruisers can be cought by fast locking ceptors.
So the question remains - How do we catch a Cov ops, Interdiction Nullifier T3?
What about putting the Faction Mobile warp disruptors to use?
Currently these are non existant as they are useless, the only benifit is its slightly higher tank and shorter anchoring aswell (T2 has same anchor time) as its slightly higher disruptor radius over T1 (T2 beats it fractonally).

Basically what im thinking of is making it so the Syndicate Mobile Warp Disruption Fields or Bubbles have the ability to Block - Suck - Stop the Interdiction Nullifier Subsystem from working.
This enables Covert ops Nul T3s to be cought as currently there is almost nothing to counter this. Ive done some read ups on the bubbles and they arnt that cheap for the most part.

http://www.ellatha.com/eve/LP_Stores.asp
(one of the sites i have found that seems to be most active If these bubbles do not exist anymore then this would be a great opportunity to bring them back)

Any Constructive Critisism is welcome. Please no T3 pilots crying about this suggestion.

No, you are already able to decloak them while their aligning to warp out. Creating such bubble would make interdiction nullifier absolutely useless.

<<----WoW is that way if you want easy mode.
EVE is this way, where it is standard to provide a challenge. ---->>

One ship. Yep. One ship type can avoid a warp bubble. And you are whining about it. You must really like your easy mode game where everything dies to stupid funneling game mechanics when its caught in a warp bubble with your 3x sensor booster, 2x remote sensor booster battleships after a fast align frig is hit by a force recon and tagged by target painters (this was lowsec when jumping in the ship was destroyed in 3 seconds, nullsec is includes a pod mail). If you and every one of your buddies cannot catch a cruiser while circle jerking off around a gate that is already destroying every ship that comes through, then why do you need a counter for the one ship that can get through? They already cost more then T2 ships and have a pretty harsh pentalty when popped. You should be glad something doesn't bore you to death while holding one sided debates with the local billboards and jump gates, because you are certifiedly insane to gate camp for any length of time.

heh null sec carebears are so cute if they are not blue to everything in their system they refuse to undock. And if they can't sitt 150km from a gate align to a safe station and hoping their bubble will catch something for them then they have no clue how to kill stuff.

I disagree with the OP and agree with the other posters, being able to disengage at any time and never risk my ship is absolutely on the hardcore side of the spectrum as opposed to the e-z mode side.

In fact, I'd go so far as to say that roaming around solo in a ship that can't be caught is far more hardcore than organizing a dozen pilots, anchoring a bubble, and setting up on a gate basically committed to engaging whatever comes through.

Honestly EVE was a lot more hardcore when I could nanostab my vagabond, nowadays its just so easy to form a thousand man alliance and navigate diplomatic corridors to create a region-spanning empire. It's so easy that I am shocked and appalled that some carebear loser who probably only got his space by using a BLOB would expect to be able to secure his borders using some means, even if the cost was enormous and the undertaking difficult.

Firstly i am not a nullsec carebear infact most of my time i spend doing solo around various parts of 0.0 in a BC and have been pvping for about 2 and a half years so don't call me a carebear and how to pvp. And for the recond from all your posts i dont belong to a 20 - 80 man blob aliance and we have almost no blues.

So much rage? i don't see any constructive criticism.
For the most part it was an idea.... An orbingting ceptor to get a cloaky t3? i have had experience in getting cloakers by the way (not sating you guys don't) firstly you need to go to where they were this takes about 2 seconds, if you are able to decloak that gives another second to lock them + you have to factor in lag and making sure you dont shoot past them going 3 - 5ks a second. in that time it can easily go into warp depending on how the T3 is fit but being cloaky they are usually fairly light.

Sure they cost alot but dont faction BSs? moms? titans? they can all be stopped, but with the peace of mind that you can get through camps, Reason why im stating camps as thats the only way to get a cov ops nul T3 if it dosent want to play. Not that big of a penalty anyway its like a week for lvl 5....

This gives T3 pilots a chance to use their brains than just jump cloak warp jump cloak warp even if their are camps.

Im not that good at getting my points across so it looks as if this will probably be my last post. All im saying every other ship can be countered by some other module such as a bubble or ceptor.
Anyway as i said i don't get my point across properly.....

i think its a good idea with merit, however just one small thing, if you do add faction bubbles that can catch nulli T3s please add another prop subsystem to counter the new bubble too.

that is all.

p.s. not a good idea at all.

OP's idea is sub optimal.

A better syndicate mobile bubble would maybe have a shorter anchoring time and less cargo space so it could be used by smaller ships and be positioned faster.

A 500mil isk hull, that hits like a girl and handles like a hauler is really not a lean mean killing machine.
I mean, you probably get more firepower and survivability out of a Taranis.

They're not invincible by any means.

What about a T3 interdictor which can place bubbles that catch interdiction nullified strategic cruisers.

Well, it should cost a billion though and blow up when you look funny at it.

*IF* you think cloak/null is far too powerful.

Put Null and Cloak in the same subsystem bracket, forcing you to choose either. Problem solved, without introducting new and stupid modules or ruining other aspects of the game.

Edit, for clarification, personally i think it's fine as is though.

I know you want to pad your stats and you e-peen shrivels when something escapes your UBER L33T REALMAN BUBBLE CAMP, but the T3 ships set up cloaky/bubbleproof are hopelessly weak.

It's almost safe to say that a bubbleproof, cloaky T3 only true PvP purpose is to make you cry and whine about their existence Razz

Enough Dramiels with drones orbiting or sitting 12km from the gate on all sides and different vectors and no one will get through. T3's with covert ops and interdiction nullifier still have a risk and reasonable risk considering the sheer size of gangs these days.

Also, interdiction nullifier makes you lose a low slot and covert ops sub seriously nerfs your DPS. Pretty big sacrifice for reducing risk by a large amount, sounds fair to me.

Somehow i like that idea, but... what yout think if you would use those faction bubble's to catch t3 ships, and only them. And also if you have use a faction bubble on a gate, there couldnt be other's installed... so you have to take a decicion... catch all the ships or t3... would be interesting YARRRR!!

1) have interceptor sit at 0 on gate with MWD running
2) double-click them on overview once they decloak
3) spam "set top speed"
4) ???
5) profit

In case you cant figure it out, #4 is "have your 300 friends blow the crap out of it".

I've caught "Null T3's" and covert ops ships in nullsec before. It is a challenge, but not imposable.

T3's need to be able to fit the Cov cyno.

Also, it's be interesting to test a bubble that acts as a webber for anyone in it
