Google it. The Hawk is currently sub-par as AFs go, but will be quite a bit better in about one week when the rocket and Hawk buff patch hits.

You could use it like this, taking advantage of the Hawk's shield boost bonus. Or, remove the shield booster and install a web for better damage.

Wow , good buffer and a 100dps tank to boot. the booster is hella expensive tought isnt it? might be abit risky on a AB frigate.

Joke of a fit. If you're spending that much money on an autocannon using frigate get a Dramiel, and if you're determined to use guns get a Harpy. Buffer tank it and fit all rockets with a web. You can probably cram in both damage control and ballistic control as well.

I don't think b-types are THAT expensive but if it is Im sure a C-5 will fit instead...

40-45mil each on contracts. Utterly ridiculous to fit to a Hawk. Again if you're shelling out for faction gear on frigate hulls, you may as well just use the isk on a Dramiel which is just plain better.

If the Hawk had 5 mids, it might make a good active tanker. As it stands: it's just plain lol. Buffer it, fit a web.

BTW - with a C5 shield booster, your cap dies in about a minute and a half
(Edit: forgot to put all 5 skills on)
Which is still pretty poor as your dps won't be particularly high with no web.

I completely agree that it makes much more sense to spend the ISK on a Daredevil or Dramiel (or Hookbill?). But... there's a lot to be said for disguising your true strength. Not many other frigates are going to willingly engage a Dramiel or Daredevil; a Hawk is a much more attractive target, especially as it will take a while for people to realise that rockets are non-lol after the patch. And an overloaded Gistii booster and Blue Pill does give a pretty good active tank on a Hawk, as active tanks go...

Your best bet is to wait for the patch and take a look at your options then. The Hawk is more or less broken as it stands.

The OP asked for a good Hawk fit. I gave a good Hawk fit. Nothing was said about it being cheap, but one deadspace item isn't all that expensive anyway. I could have posted something ridiculous like Lugalzagezi666 did.

My Hawk: good buffer, good active tank, good damage. Plus, if you read the whole post, I did offer the option of removing the booster and installing a web. Why does a Hawk have to use all rockets anyway -- it has turret slots, so might as well use them.

So stuff it, Duchess.

BEST bet would be to begin training a different race.

Do we know exactly how the Hawk will be buffed?

Yes, Hawk is getting a 3% grid buff and 10% Kinetic missile damage buff per level instead of 5%. Hawk will be a very viable AF next week.

Rocket explosion velocity increased significantly.
Rocket damage increased, ROF decreased, net DPS increase of 5.6%.
Rocket clip size significantly increased - no mandatory reload midfight any more (substantial effective DPS increase).
Hawk's 5% kinetic damage/level increased to 10%/level.
A bit more PG for the Hawk, odd that it wasn't CPU but oh well.
