So, who doesn't want one?

CCP Dev Blog on Noctis

/edit Pah, didn't see the other Noctis thread and, as usual, the search function didn't find one either...

Is the pricing correct for that? Its to be a more efficient savaging vessel, at almost 400 Million ISK? I think I would rather continue using my Frigate or Destroyer.

That's retail price for the BPO. The ship itself won't be retailed by NPCs.

Destroyers get used as salvagers alot. Any attempt to remake them would have been met with cries of dismay from carebears. Hopefully now they can actually become more lethal in a future remake and NOT be known as salvagers.Rolling Eyes

looks like shell hold up to any scuicides below battlecruisers.

speaking of annoyance my daily hunting for the release date of incursion has failed. Anyone got details on that?

I am loathe to say this, but I predict this will be the next most favorite suicide gank target. Close to a Hulk but with more total EHP and no shield resists at all. Plus when popped, may spill oodles of salvage.

I do want one. I'll see if I an get to an ORE station and buy some books and a BPO...fat chance I guess...

With 4000 structure (with skills) and a DCII it will take a good effort to suicide gank it. Of course I'm sure people are just going to fit it with Cargo Expander II's so there goes that. YARRRR!!

Once the novelty of 'gank the new shiny ship' wears off, who is going to bother ganking them? There isn't much scope for pimping them. Salvagers and tractors in the hi's and expanders in the lows, sure a few muppets will put deadspace mods in the mids but they should be in the minority (or I may weep). And the cargo isn't going to be worth much.

Some people may gank them for fun, but it's not going to be profitable like ganking hulks.

Given the number of missioners in Eve though, I think it will quickly become the most numerous ship in the game, even if for more dangerous jobs like WH space the Slavacane lives on.

I had been stockpiling minerals for a few months, so when I could get the BPO, I would be a supplier ... but then I decided that I didnt feel like risking 400m on trying to fly the BPO out of the OR ... Ill be like everyone else and end up paying 150m for one in jita. lol

Riiight. There's going to be a lot of interest in suiciding an inexpensive ship with 1500m3 of loot and salvage from a lvl 4 worth a couple million isk.

every high sec ganker worth his salt will be trying to get the first kill when these first get on the market just to get it on the killboard first in corp / battleclinic / whatever.

I know I will, and I shall justify myself by making a really cool medal with oak leaf clusters to prove it.

I think that it would be nice if the noctis could have a small drone bay, just to fit 5 light drones so that I don't have to run away from npc frigates while salvaging. I could use micro warp and smart bombs to deal with them but this may be a bit impracticalugh
