Bjork was huge at some point in the mid-90s, and her zany videos ubiquitous. Most of these were done by surrealism overlord Michel Gondry, who also collaborated with many other bands to create videos that became iconic, though the stuff he made with Bjork was probably the most well known, starting with her first single "Human Behaviour". He later jumped into movies, making brilliant little gems of surreal bizarrity such as "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind", and my personal favourite, "The Science of Sleep". |

my favs are Vespertine & Homogenic. haven't gotten into too much of her recent stuff tho. i did catch one of her shows at a local festival. bjork + lazers ftw!!! |

Her music definitely refuses to be background music. I absolutely can't be doing anything else when her music plays, because her voice arrests me from whatever I'm trying to multitask. There's something phenomenally ageless about her music. |

I just think she's a bit of a 'space cadet'. Which no one minded when she was young and cute, but now that she's older people have less patience for that sort of thing. Her singing drives me crazy. But there's no accounting for personal tastes. |

Mad as a lorry but I like her, her cover of "it's oh so quiet" is one of my favorite tunes, but shes done lots of other great stuff.
Oddly I could never get away with the Sugar Cubes.

It's this weird feeling I get when I listen to her music, most noticable in the song that I linked, it is like I find out that I am dying but have so much energy to do everything that it makes me feel so real that I actually feel alive.
I know that sounds messed up but that is the best way I can describe it, im yet to get stoned to her music |
