This is probably common knowledge, but I wanted to pass it along in case it helps anybody else.
Do a contract search for all systems, set the minimum price to 1isk (to filter out the WTB spam), and set the description to "issue".
This will filter the list to show everybody selling mostly faction ships.
Do a quick scan of the list and note every scammer who says an item is a navy issue product, but it is actually a common item like a dominix, raven, etc.
Right click on that person and ignore all contracts from that scammer.
You may need to add other common descriptions such as navy and filter those out as well. This method helps clear my own contracts list of around 1/4 to 1/2 of the scammers in my region trying to sell common items as faction gear. |

Pretty much this TBH. Read the contract, consider what you read. Reread it. Make sure it makes sense. Check the color of the ISK value. If you're expecting to receive money, it had better be GREEN Do a show info on the item (assuming there aren't 95000 of them) and make sure it is what you think it is. If you're buying a ship and fittings make sure there's actually a ship somewhere in the list. Make sure it's the ship you thought it was. Check the ISK value again. |

I don't filter people from my contracts list anymore. The reason for that is scammers may get gear cheaply via scamming and hence could very well sell at the best price on contracts.
I do block them in local though. No point reading the same crap over and over. |

There must be a thread somewhere with someone complaining about CCP stimulating the ruthless exploiting of colourblind people. |

The OP didn't promise a method of removing all scammers from contracts. Rather, she suggests a method to remove 1/4 to 1/2 of scam contracts. This effect is not a reduction in the likelihood of being scammed, it's a reduction in the number of fake contracts to be flipped through to buy an item.
For those pretending she did (De'Veldrin, Kushan and seany1212), for shame. You've dumped all over the OP for the wrong thing. -10 CP points. The correct answer was "You're talking about a method of improving market managability. This belongs in MD. Reported carebear loser-face." |

I occasionally run my "scammer check" with just simple settings and sort by price. Then just ignore anything with "thousands" on it =)
Also clearing jita local spam. Just check the contract spammed in local and ignore scams (There might actually be 1-2 "real" sellers).... and all the sudden the "hectic" and "intense" jita atmosphere is about the same as some random system with 10-15 people in it.

Less contract scams, but you'll definitely still see them. You'll also see a ton of other kinds of scams come and take the place of the contract scams. |

Now offering a scam prevention product. For the low low price of 100M isk, you tell me what you want and I will send you back a filtered list of only verified non-scam contracts. This works for courier contracts as well, just tell me the start and end points you want and I'll find you a verified non-scam matching contract.
