I'm glad they got crushed. You should honestly be out all of those TCU's and shouldn't have gotten reimbursed. Anyone else who knowingly exploits doesn't get to keep their tools or rewards. Hell, even their characters.

Simply because game mechanics allow you to do it, doesn't mean it was INTENDED to happen.

Unfortunately, this is a game and there is always some arrogant, chair bouncing, immature kid who wants everyone to look at him.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you have never been part of 0.0 warfare when you write like that. Its a common tactic that everybody use. Station being drop before DT. SBU's planted before DT. ect. ect. ect.

At the same time, people complain that developers should play in nullsec alliances more, to really "understand the game" or something.

Simplest solution would be for CCP to not remove an alliance's sov at the request of another alliance Laughing

"RED Overlord (ROL) and Against All Authorities (AAA) continue their assault on Feythabolis. SBU´s were deployed in M-CMLV (Feythabolis) outpost system owned by Dead Terrorists. Both SBU´s were deployed before downtime and came online during it as well. Fleet logged off in the system and once server was back up, they proceeded to reinforce station and IHUB. DT sent a fleet meanwhile to intercept them, but there was no fight as the SBU deployement was petitioned by DT and CCP responded to it with destroying them. CCP repaired the station for DT afterwards." - EVE News 24

I really hope this is a troll.

I suspect one of the biggest problems is that devs have been discouraged from joining in with significant parts of the game and therefore can't gain a full understanding of the problems players face.

boohoooo, for stations to appear a dt needs to pass, so thats just a normal valid tactic, until ccp implements some kind of timer. These TCU's have a timer, so this is just an exploit, cry more and no I intentionally posted with this char Cool

You don't like backroom deals? Usually I'm very relaxed and smoking after being dealt with in the back room.

Well after some workplace boredom, I actually read a few threads over the last few days, here's my take on this.

Test stole the sphere from PL, PL decided to quit the game in protest. TEST however, being only junior goons, failed to read the warning affixed to bottom of the Sphere.

"Warning! Failure to follow the 5784 page instruction guide exactly voids all warranties, expressed or implied while using the Sphere."

Test, of course did not manage to steal the guide along with the Sphere itself, thinking well, it's just a Sphere...

Bringing it to Delve, and activating it with the intention of immediately removing all SOV in Delve, the Sphere hiccuped and instead simply put up ghost TCU's in non-sov systems.
It then sent an anonymous warning to CCP that it had been used by unauthorized personnel. TEST is upset that the Sphere did not work as advertised, and wants PL to refund cost of the "borrowed Sphere".

That about sum it up?

Last I checked downtimes don't last 14+ hours. SBUs have an 8 hour timer so there's plenty of time after dt to shoot them...(same with TCUs)

Just a little tip - if you get caught out exploiting, it's probably not the best idea to then launch a threadnought about it... particularly when you were also exposed trying to fake chatlogs from members of CCP to try to back up you claim....

For those of you in the wondering here is some DT math for you

1) Anything that happens over a regular DT is allowed

2) TCU / SBU: This is where my idea is unfounded until now I guess. IIRC you are not able to wardec anyone before an extended dt as they count doing that to rundown the warmup timer as an exploit as it denies the opponent the chance to become prepared. I assume CCP is following the same thing here. TEST did not allow it the chance to fight back. The reason that TEST got their stuff moved and the others didn't is because until now people may not have gamed the extended dt and had their stuff petitioned. CCP looked at it and said its a valid argument and removed test's then when they cried ccp went and took out other TCU/SBUs (These probabally were petitioned too after exact precident was set)

3) Stations: Petition away, CCP will tell you to **** off. How stations work is that you put the station up and anchor it, Throw all the crap in and click build. If you were to press the build button at 2 seconds after dt you get to wait til the next dt, if you press it 2 seconds before dt in two seconds your station egg is going to morph. This is due to the fact that one of the scripts that runs at any dt has its sole purpose of looking for any ItemID's registered to eggs and morph them into a station

4) POS's You can anchor these and start their online timer during a standard dt and have it come out done. so doing this during an extended dt does not matter other then you anchor gusn at a time different then before.

It is most certainly not someone who's main is before the time of the "do not play"-policy and thus have managed to keep his identity nearly secret.

TEST knew what would happen, and enjoy the noise they can make in places like CAOD. A measure of success could be how many members they get gagged/banned/warned. In this respect, TEST still has a long way to go before they can surpass their inspiration.
