Actually this BPO purchase plan is a good idea. I'll consider it. You are expecting to get paid in installments, and will deliver the researched BPO after the balance is paid in full. Did I understand you correctly?

That is broadly correct. You can either pay off the principle in installments or just pay the monthly interest and then the principle all in one go at the end, whichever works best for you. If you pay off the principle in installments the monthly interest will be calculated on the basis of the remaining outstanding balance, not the starting total, so you would save a bit if you chose this option.

If the customer needs to cancel the deal at some point, do you reimburse the 10% deposit and keep the interests paid, or do you keep that 10% as your service fee as well?

I would keep the 10% deposit and the interest paid. The interest is obviously where I make my money. The 10% deposit is to allow me to sell the print at firesale prices so I can get my money back immediately rather than waiting weeks or months for the print to sell at face value and thus incurring lost opportunity costs.

However, if you were paying in installments, I would return the installments that had been paid, less the interest, once the print had been sold off.

Although RAW23 and I are competitors in the collateralized loan department, I would recommend his services to any of my clients who I could not service myself. He has an excellent track record on MD and I do not anticipate hearing anything but good from his borrowers.

As a Lender I have had no complaints either, but I am sort of curious how much public isk he is and you too Dethmourne are now managing, both the collateral you hold as well as your own publicly obtained isk.

Not that I am particulairly worried at this time, it's just that this kind of growth of publicly held funds is far less visible than simple bonds.

That's a good point. At present I have my 20bil bond, a 10bil unsecured loan and I'm holding c. 15bil in collateral. This is 5bil higher in total public exposure than my previous top of 40bil back in March. The collateral I will hold for the loans advertised in this thread shouldn't really be a concern, though, as they will be backed/secured by my own cash (i.e. the loan I give out), although I guess I could end up holding slightly more in cases where the loan is 110% collateralised.

Edit - To clarify, that is 15bil in 'unsecured' collateral. I'm also holding another load of collateral for loans in which I am the only lender. I also have a 10bil secured private loan which I didn't list above as I don't really think of it as part of my 'risk profile'. If I scammed or defaulted I would lose money on that as the collateral is worth about 130% of the loan.

So you currently have 45bl in public monies?

Is BPO value limit, i.e., will you deal with SC/Titan BPOs? What are your general rates, or are you going to keep the confidential?

It seems like you have a limitless pool of investors at at least 3% interest to finance almost any BPO purchase, and you would of course be making your money on the margin based entirely on your reputation... which brings up anothe point;

When are you going to undergo that overdue audit you were talking to me about?

I have 16b in outstanding debt (most of it private, some at a null interest rate from friends). I also have 3b in collateral; however, 2b of that collateral is being held by one of my lenders in a pass-through loan arrangement where i'm playing middleman to a lender and borrower.

Since discussion's discouraged on the sell forums, I'll put up an MD post for my own loan services and retire the sell orders one (I felt that it was a sort of "shop", but obviously the need for discussion makes it more of an MD post).

Not quite. I have 30bil in unsecured debt plus I'm holding the collateral for someone else's 15bil secured bond because I was asked to do so. But yes, my total unsecured holdings are 45bil. This is 5bil higher than they were 8 months ago. I will, however, shortly be paying off my 10bil unsecured private loan and the collateral holding job is only scheduled to run for another month, so this figure will be going down by more than 50% quite soon.

No theoretical limit beyond the funds I have available. I am currently holding one SC print, which I recently provided the purchase plan for.

Rates are negotiable.

It's hard to say how much I have access to but I doubt it would be as high as you suggest. I haven't tried to raise more than I have held previously, so it's not particularly surprising that I would be able to raise up to about 40bil. How easily I could raise fund beyond that point is a different issue, especially as the investor pool is limited by the necessarily limited interest rate involved.

As I said before, the audit is under way. Grendell has been kind enough to take the audit on but I have made it clear to him that there is no hurry. Apart from you, no one is clamouring for an audit so I don't see any need to push for it to be done rapidly when Grendell is a very busy person. If I didn't know that you actually think audits are unnecessary and provide limited to no protection against scams I might take your interest in getting it done quickly more seriously. But since I know what you think about the value of audits I'm sure you'll forgive me if I don't allow my course of action to be driven by your comments in the absence of those of any actually interested parties.

Tl;dr : The audit will be completed when Grendell has time and I'm not going to hassle him over it.

Edit - Oh, and welcome back! Glad to see you got your internet sorted.

Glad to hear an audit will be forthecoming - eventually, maybe, sorta.

Also, I am guessing that you forgot to add deposit monies. I think they are "public monies" - I am sure you would agree - and should be included in that statistic. So you actually have ~47bl public and your investors' exposure would be the same.

My connection has gone to **** in the last 2 days as well Mad You have my genuine sympathies.

I left out the deposits/10% overcollateralisation because these do not really represent potential profit, providing, instead, a buffer to allow for the firesale of the collateral. But I suppose it is the case that if I did a runner I would be sitting on assets that included the 10%. Factoring this in takes the total to c. 49bil.

Btw - Are you going to get a performance audit done on your bond? Wink

Sorry to hear that. I am unsure where you are from, but if USA - run kicking and screaming from AT&T.

The answer is probably not, but maybe - although I wont hijack your thread in an attempt to explain my way out of why not Cool

70bil currently on loan but plenty more available for those who want it!

I'm anticipating that things might get a bit busy with people wanting loans for patch day speculation so come and get your isk whilst I'm still liquid.

Sadly, there isn't much going on for speculators this 1st patch. The only things going on is the Noctis and faction ships on the market.

Things won't get interesting until the last part of Incursion when the PI changes take effect which will make PI easier.

Sorry - I missed this post.

Highest value depends on available funds but none in principle. Lowest value depends. I wouldn't be willing to research 20 x 5mil prints for a 100mil loan, for instance, but I'm pretty flexible so send me a mail with details of what you're interested in.

Good consultancy service here. I've been working with RAW for the last couple months and can say without hesitation that he offers a good, informative and above all else fair service.
