I have been looking to move to the Curse region to do Angel Cartel faction. I figured their would be pirates etc., but I didn't realize the area was locked down by alliances who have no intention of communicating their intention to pod kill anyone they see for little or no profit.

Now, I'm not here blindly complaining. What I would like to do is understand how things operate out here. After warping into the region and finding six out of seven gates camped I figured there has to be a better way of going about this. Do you have to join them? Do you have to pay them off? Do you have to have a cloaked bomber to operate independently of them? What course of action does a relatively new person have here?

The whole thing seems like a no win situation, and none of the people in local here seem able, or willing to communicate. I'm not worried about pvp, or piracy, but getting murdered at every gate by groups of 10+ people doesn't seem in my best interest. Should I just tuck tail, give up on getting angel faction, and leave?

Best Regards.

Awesome way :
Drop containers at safespots all over region using cloaked haulers to store ammo etc.
Laugh at the locals and do their sanctums podding the occasional one in your cloaky PVE/PVP ship.

Regular way :
Become a member of a resident alliance.

Fail way :
Everything else I guess.

Well ... not all of 0.0 is that religiously camped. There might routes into 0.0 that are more or less deserted - research your area of interest before you go. Of course the further into null you go, the more problems you will have getting with your faction loot.
Cloaky ftw btw =)
