Go to a friend, internet Cafe perhaps or something like that. If you can get a good conection EvE does not take that long to install.

Yes I have lost a few days of training. It sucks thats why I try to get a skill in the Que at the 24 hour mark.

I am just glad my Girlfriend plays and has EVE installed or I would've lost weeks!

I have an old notebook that no doubt will play EVE good enough to let me access the skillqueue. Next to that a few friends and my younger sister are living not that far away and will definitely let me install EVE if necessary.

NO WAY I will EVER lose skilling time!!! Shocked

The lost skill training time will haunt you for the rest of your Eve life, I guarantee you.

Given no alternative I'd go to a computer store, explain your dilemma to a bored geek salesperson (who will undoubtedly empathize) and upload Eve to a demo and then log in.

A real capsuleer would be heading for the door......

So don't be a fail noob who doesn't already have all 5's in everything useful spread across a variety of different alts. Problem solved.

Seeing as both you and me have been here since before the skill queue were introduced...

Losing some time really doesn't matter to me (personal thoughts here). What's a few days in total over a few years?

I couldn't care less if I missed some time, before the skill queueu I have probably lost weeks of training in total just because I couldn't bother to set the alarm for 3am some days.

The queue made all that go away (most of the times) so losing some time really does not bother me at all. Be it some hours or a few days.

I sure am lucky to have two desktops, a laptop, and an extremely reliable Internet connection.

Unfortunately one of the desktops and the laptop are both Macintosh computers, but despite this critical flaw and thanks to Boot Camp, all three are useful.

Then, not than.

And "lets" is a contraction of "let us" and should, therefore, have an apostrophe.

But you knew that, right?

OP: Oh no I'm losing SP. The end is nigh! THE END IS NIGH!!
Me: *slap* Get a hold of yourself man.

For me it's just a game, so losing a little bit of ttraining time doesn't bother me that much. I can already do what I need to do to survive in the game, so I have plenty of time to wait for the ability to build T3, or fly a T2 battleship and such.

When posters correct each other's grammatical errors on this forum, it's practically guaranteed to be a case of the blind leading the blind.

In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king. I myself have a strong grasp of English grammar, but being King **** of Turd Mountain is a loathsome proposition, so I leave my fellow gamers to butcher the English language in peace.

ive lost quite a bit of time to my own ineptitude (log in to change skills, get busy elewhere, never fill my queue) but really it doesnt bother me that much. Nowadays, the incremental 2k/hour of sp is CONSIDERABLY less than my total sp, to the point where its almost negligible.

Sure, itd annoying to lose it, but after you get 60m+ sp, it doesnt matter that much.

But yeah, if you can steal a friends pc for a few hours :p
