"The align to bookmark command was added so you can so align towards bookmarks in space."

Is it a problem to add this option TO THE FLEET WARP OPTIONS??

Also,
can you give us inserting Bookmarks into mails?

Thank you.

if i click no will anything adverse happen for not dling the "optional patch"

any help would be nice, i didnt realize ccp was patching today so i didnt get a 14day skill in before DT, and i only have a couple hrs till my que is empty

If you click "No" the previous optional patches will be uninstalled, assuming your client worked prior to all these optional patches you should be able to play the game with your client in that state, if the patches at any point fixed a game breaking issue you SHOULD NOT opt out of the newest patch, as this will leave your client broken again.

If he says no and enters the game he can d/l the patch from esc / general settings.

If you choose not to install the "optional" patch... ALL previous patches will be removed and you'll be left with the original unpatched 1.1 release that was infamous for being a broken mess of awesomely (c CCP Dev Blog) awesome UI ineptitude.

Consider it CCP's ever so subtle way of ensuring that you choose wisely when deciding whether to install the new patch. Cool

This is true, assuming he can get into the game of course. I didn't imply otherwise though Confused

Possible bug: Cannot start manufacturing jobs. Receive "Oops someone cut in line" response every time. Tested using many (circa 10) of the 49 free slots. Tested on two different characters on two different accounts with 2 distinct BPOs (same type though). Using the one occupied slot appears to get to the confirmation step (looks like it would work, if I wanted to wait).

Possible mitigation: May only affect the station where my characters are docked. A friend was able to start a manufacturing job for a completely different class of object in another station in a different region.

CCP: for further information see petition created by this character.

If you click 'Yes' then the patch will be applied and then you can log into Tranquility. If you choose 'No' you will log in to Tranquility directly but none of the fixes will be applied. If you clicked 'No' in error you can still apply the patch by going to the ESC menu, General Settings and apply the patch from the 'Install' button there.

Not exactly true. As stated by another poster above, if you answer 'No' you will have optional patch 4 (which worked just fine) removed. So you end up with 2 choices - either have the bugged client with no optional patches installed at all or be forced to install patch #6.

"If you clicked 'No' in error" - it might be not an error but a choice of the user not to install that "optional" patch.

Optional my butt. You can not play unless you install the patch but to do that you have to download the entire client again because CCP will not let us download the patch only.
Incompatible version.
CCP you guys need to use the test server to test you patches and not test them on the live server thus the name TEST SERVER.

If I'm reading those patch notes right, the whole "new cans/chat windows open without a stack and cannot be positioned before the fact" bug is still not fixed?

Is this correct?

Will it ever be fixed?

man you guys are a bunch of whiny babies, the patches are being developed rapidly you should be excited! More features means better game play, I personally love the align to bookmark option which you dimwits would have to wait until incursion to appreciate with the old system.

Python has made CCP development faster and therefore you get updates frequently to address all issues and make a better game.

That has been around for at least 2 years.

I have most of my wallet divisions with 0.01 ISK because I can't transfer the last 0.01 ISK out of it.

two years, nice, I guess it'll be fixed in 18 months time right? Wink

thanks for the tip, have to take out the isk the way you said, if a simple thing like this can't get fixed in 2 years I'm not holding my breath for lag to be fixed anytime soon Laughing

I still have blank icons in my HUD which were introduced in Optional Patch one.

I would like to see what should be on my icons someday as I am always pressing the wrong icon.

Declined the update by accident. Then the old update got deleted without having the option to cancel. Try to update by hand is impossible because the client is already up to date with the latest version.

This has ot be related to a new bug that happens in PI.
I tried for hours to launch or expedite transport from one launchpad with 9600 P1s.
I got error saying its lacking 20 units to be same as the ammount I want to move.

I relogged, changed sessions, moved to other systems....still didn't help.

Game support offered to reimburse me rebuilding the factories on planets.
I said no.You can't reimburse my time.

DT fixed it, but Im waiting to be waylaid again by same bastardly bug.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
I've been looking for a way to do that since one of the previous optional patches. I declined to download it Since I had no known issues before it got installed and noticed a few of the bugs that it fixed after I logged. I never found this info, but thankfully another patch followed soon after.
I would like to ask CCP to post some info on this in their patching help pages, or bring it to the foreground more. I wasn't able to find how to install the optional patch after declining it before Karia's helpfull post. And could you perhaps add a warning message stating that if you decline an optional patch it resets you to the default original build without any patches? this whole process of optional patches is still relatively new, so mistakes can happen.

Thank you Bella Bee for your productive responses in this thread. I've only just installed the new patch and haven't experienced any issues yet, but if I will Iíll let you and your colleagues know. After reading all the posts Iím amazed at the number of people who think, feel or otherwise assume to know what itís like to run a program like EVE successfully without hands-on experience. And the way people phrase it makes me think of the Queen song I want it all. Having worked in customer care myself (on a hugely different product) I know what itís like to deal with customer complaints. All I can say is keep up the good work.

I assume that was meant ironically rather than seriously?

One seriously broken original release, followed by six patches that have been only partly successful (including one patch that broke the game so badly it was pulled within hours), all conducted on the live server that has disrupted the game-time of paying customers for the entire month of October. And that's "good work" is it?

I wish I lived in your reality - it's clearly much better than mine!

More rapidly?? If they had tested this **** on the TEST server and sorted it out on there, we wouldnt need to be using all these 'rapid' patches.

Im paying to play a game, not be a frigging bug tester. If i wanted to do that Id go mess around on the test server where this **** should have been sorted out BEFORE deploying on TQ. There are numerous posts where its evident that some of these bugs WERE pointed out on SiSi and yet they still went ahead with the update. Can you imagine what will happen on the 16th when the new expansion hits? Current indication is that wether it works or not, it WILL get deployed.........guess i better figure out soon what to use my free skill points on. Rolling Eyes

I get this bug regularly too, I undock and it gives me double gates, double stations etc. From my guess it has something to do with brackets. I say this because i have 2 overview tabs, one with brackets and one without and when i switch between the two the problem corrects itself.

And this is what is technically known as useful information Very Happy

You don't even need to switch between tabs for duplicates to go away. Just tap the tab, forcing it to refresh.

To CCP: SERIOUSLY reconsider overview drawing code. It full of bugs. Duplication of signatures is just one much disturbing issue. Incorrect/ignored sorting is much, much more common, especially in warps and with enough ships present on grid to cause verical scrolling. You have to constantly tap the tab and scroll through it (because tapping reset vertical scroll position) to get proper ordering.

P.S. #101531 not fixed.

> The old UI backend code was literally more than a decade old.

End users are not interested in technical details nor a decade of code mismanagement. They want a working product.

> they get 60 man months of testing in the first HOUR after the patch has been deployed.

Which for sure might make you believe it's not worth to invest one man week of testing before deploying it, right?

I'm happy about the release frequency now. There's at least a chance that urgent fixes can get fixed soon. If an update breaks new stuff: Shame on them. But don't blame the patch frequency, frequent updates is a step forward!

Can't remember seeing this before but if I warp through empty systems or jump from one empty system to another (and I mean no rats on gates either)then when I come out of warp or decloak from the jump I have 10% to 15% shield damage.
Anyone else noticed this?

All I know is that I tried to load the updated patch, it says its corrupt, I keep trying to download it, and it keeps telling me its corrupt and I can't play the game unless I update. So I can't play because everytime I download, its corrupt - I am at a loss as what to do.

wth?

All the complaints with the patches, i rarely had any issues before the patches. I have not done the optional patches for the last two as issues made my client worse, mainly I'm laggy as hell when i was doing PI and the overview all messed up that i have unloaded the patches.

I decide to try this current patch, crossing fingers, nope no good. Overview still a mess with doubles and not sorting as i fly through space to what is nearest at the top.

An now in PI in planet mode, i see all the brackets based upon what overview tab i have selected. That really sucks when a bracket is in the way of a harvester i am trying to reset.

Was this intended and if so, what is the purpose?

anyway, i am uninstalling this "optional" patch again. Thankfully i only did it on one of my many accounts.

If you still have the update installed, it would be very helpful if you filed a bug report and included a log file that captured the issue occurring. The latest update has added logging so that should give us some new information. Also screenshots can be very helpful.

My account is paid through November. After that, I'm done. A year and change, nothing more to be seen here except for a ****ed company waiting to die.
