Hey all I just wanted to know if it is better for raw isks and standing gains to blitz level 3's

I mean i can run level 3's so fast its like...im beyond overqualified.

Level 4's i can solo....but when it comes to the BS's its like im taking 1-2 minutes to kill em.

I am running a Machariel with

x4 RF Gyro
X3 RF TE
x2 CN Inv Field
Gist X Large Shield Boost
Pith X Large Shield Amp
100mn Gist X AB

x7 T2 800 AC w Phased Plasma Ammo

Which do u think guys??

This is a joke right?

If its taking you 2 minutes to kill a BS with your setup you are doing something very wrong

Sweet Jesus, are you serious? 1-2 minutes to kill a BS in Mach? A Mach should blitz most level 4's in a freakishly short period of time. Of course it's going to laugh through level 3's.

Your fit seems fine, if rather pricy. Methinks it's your skills, not your ship, that are the problem here.

Depends, where are you located?

With that kind of equipment on a battleship, you should be doing the average L4s about as fast as, or in many cases faster than, L3s, from locking speed differences alone…

Huh? Locking speed should essentially be a one time cost, unless you never trained up Targeting, because you can be simultaneously locking multiple targets, which will keep your target queue from emptying. This is especially true if you have a Signal Amplifier on your fit.

Ummm then you're killing the cruisers too slowly. Just saying.

Just some helpful advice about how to not get ganked. First, this dude wants to gank you, so you shouldn't tell him where you are located. But anywho:

1) Don't post the expensive crap you fly in unless you have to. Gankers will watch for people to post their expensive fits.
2) If you have to post the expensive crap you fly in, post with an alt. IDK if this is your main or not, but even if you dont' tell someone where you are located, if you post with a toon located in your mission hub of choice, you can be tracked down.

Level 3s are faster for standing gains (corp and faction) but give less isk and lp. I don't think you really have problems killing bs in that ship otherwise load some ammo in the other 6 guns, too.

No, I just know how to use my target queue, and I bothered to train targeting/multi-tasking.

The secret is to always attempt to lock many ships any time your target queue has an empty slot. The maximum target count is only enforced at the end of a lock attempt, so if you have one hole, you can attempt to lock a bunch of ships (real quick, just hold down ctrl and click down the overview). By the time your locks complete, you might have killed two or three more ships, in which case you might gain four new locks despite only having room for one more when you initiated the locks. Rinse and repeat. This is easy if you have a decent number of allowable targets.

The key here is that, despite the fact that you can kill multiple ship in the time it takes to lock one ship, you can lock as many ships as you want in the same amount of time it takes to lock just one.

ETA: The only time that I can see locking speed really becoming an issue is if you have a mountain of frigates at long range that you're picking off two at a time with split-grouping guns. However, that's an extreme case, and you'd almost certainly be able to sprinkle in a few bigger targets to ease the issue.

Yes, because there's no such thing as Locator Agents in Eve.

Standings, always better to stay with 3s. The rest smells like a troll.

Lol. good job reading my entire post, where I mention that he can be tracked down if this isn't an alt posting.
