I'm trying to query invTypeMaterials and ramTypeRequirements to find out the components required to build an item from a T2 BPC. An example for a zealot is below. This returns both materials required for building, and what I assume are materials derived from reprocessing. Can someone point me to some relationship that allows me to identify just those items used in manufacture?

select * from invtypematerials
inner join invtypes on invtypes.typeid=invtypematerials.materialtypeid
where invtypematerials.typeid=12004 or invtypematerials.typeid=12003;

First of all: no need to query the invTypeMaterials for the Zealots blueprint id.
The blueprint id is for the ramTypeRequirements table.

Second, you should read up on Matthews Post and continue.

I read through Matthew's informative post and understand where he's going, but my numbers are not working out.

When breaking down a zealot, the zealot itself shows a total of 49744 required trit.
The base omen shows 307478 before waste.

Since a zealot BPC actually takes zero trit, I expected the two numbers above to be identical, to cancel each other out.

Can someone explain where I took a wrong turn?

My queries follow:

I read even further in the thread and found out I need to filter for anything that comes out negative.

Yes and no, but we have to sleep eventually :)

Those numbers you get must not be identical to cancel them out. See it this way: the invTypeMaterials table gives you a list of components you get, when you recycle an item with 100% yield. If you recycle a Zealot you receive 49744 units of Tritanium (quasi from the Omen you used).

To finally determine what you need you must subtract the components of a recycleable item from the ramTypeRequirements table from the invTypeMaterials.

So the Omen (which has a 1 in the recyle column) needs 307478 units of Trit: MAX(49744 - 307478, 0) = 0; you may not pay for reprocessing.

Afterwards you have to apply wastage (there you are wrong in your third query - don't apply wastage before you subtract!): 0 * 1.1 = 0

invTypeMaterials will give you a figure of 1660 tritanium. However, the actual job quote asks for just 336 Tritanium.

The difference is due to the requirement for the T1 module. Looking up the T1 version in invTypeMaterials indicates that the T1 module requires 1355 tritanium.

1660-1355 = 305. Adding the 10% ME wastage on top gets you to the 336 Tritanium requested by the quote.

If anyone has time, can you please post the mats on a 9 run, -6me zealot bpc? Just testing out my calculations to make sure I'm on. I can't login at the moment, or I'd check my hanger.
