Greetings MD!

Background: A Bit About Myself

I have been playing this game for a few years now and havent really ever explored the economy. I have started to train some trade skills up for my new plan. My background is fairly dull do to the fact that I have done nothing but PVP.

Business Plan: Buy Low, Sell High

I found a few items that have become very popular over the last 30 days due to a new service that has been created by a certain person. The amount of potential ISK income is phenomenal. Anyone with half a brain could see easily a 100% profit and maybe even more. Buy low, move the item(s), then sell them for a higher price. I already have a freight service picked out and I would be very happy to start with a 1b capital.

Terms of Loan:

To be honest, I just sold about everything I currently own and got roughly 300mill. Most of what I have other then a few AF and other T1 stuff is just junk. So to say, I don't have any form of collateral. If you are interested in loaning the ISK, I will be very greatful, but if not, I will understand.

As stated in the subject it will be a 1,000,000,000.00 ISK loan with 7.5% interest. The loan will last for one month (30 days).

This is the worst "business plan" I've seen in many a long day.

It's even worse than General Newbolds'

Anyone with a quarter of a brain will recognise this for a really awful scam attempt.

There should be a grade below the grade you gave for bonds like this. It should be called "******" grade, as in, only someone who is mentally challenged would invest in this.

okay, so you've been playing a few years and have yet to explore the economy......
you say it takes half a brain to churn up an easy 100% profit, yet all you own is 300 mill.....
for a few years....300mil....no collateral....in an NPC corp.....
oh and not to mention you are interested in selling this character....

i can't even call this a red flag anymore, atleast the other people with red flags try /sigh

To respond to the recent negativity, I am infact in a Corp, and I never planned to sell my character. I simply wanted a better idea of what I am worth. Anyway, Like I said, I have a few items that I can make bank on, and as for not expereincing other parts of eve, I am a simple man. I was a casual player (pvper) until recently. I know I dont have collateral, but have some trust. If you have nothing positive to say, please refrain. Learn some self control.

Not all too surprising ->

I knew this thread was coming after you posted this Zelut ->
(hindsight i bet i could have posted on that thread and maybe even tried to guess when u would ask for a loan - YARR I'm a psychic Very Happy )

http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=1392501

also in the linked thread u mention how u cant make enough money with a carrier and yet here u mention how u sold everything u own and have only 300 mill - carrier is worth more than that.....

In any case w/o being too judgmental yet u haven't stated how long the loan is for.

I don't view most of the posts in this thread as negative. People have been raising legitimate concerns about what you are proposing. In this forum, as in real life, when you come to people expecting money, you should be prepared to go under the microscope, especially as trust is a very valuable commodity in EVE.

-You say you weren't really intending to sell your character, but what proof, other then your word, do we have of that? It would be incredibly convenient to grab 1 bil and then send it to a new character with a clean name. Based on what you posted in the sell forum thread, it doesn't sound like it was purely for a price check. Maybe it was just bad timing that you posted the thread while you were in between corps, since you only spent ~12 hours in the NPC corp, but it still looks suspicious and plays strongly into fears that you were going to sell your character.

-Your business is going to be based on transporting goods from point A to point B, right? Are the goods going to be moved in contiguous hi sec space? If so, are you using Red Frog Freight or some similar courier service? If no, why not? If the goods are being moved through low/null sec, this raises some serious questions, especially considering the recent mammoth loss that was linked above. You lost a ship full of cargo; what is to prevent the same thing from happening again, but with the money that everyone has loaned you? In such a case do you just say "Sorry all, tough luck"?

-300 million is a relatively decent amount of seed capital, and if you get the 100% return that you're talking about, only two trips will net you ~1.2b. With that kind of turn around, is public money really necessary? Instead of asking for money from strangers who demand assurances and guarantees that their money won't be squandered, wasted, or lost, couldn't you ask for small loans from several of your corp mates (esp since you were in XTC Cartel for about a month and a half prior to rejoining them yesterday).

How could I sell the carrier if it was stuck in D4R and no way to go get it? Anyway, Loan will last for a month. And after that the 7.5% will be paid.

Edit: Good chance that could be much sooner

Edit 2: As I said before I was a casual player till recently, and that explains my lack of ISK. I blew about 3billion not to long ago on pvp ships that are all dead. like 50 or so ships. I am looking to settle down and learn trading. Wanted some capital to help me out.

If you say you have trouble making money, why would anyone want to loan you 3x the amount you're throwing in yourself on this venture?

If you lose money then what happens?

What I would suggest, find someone trusted (Grendell comes to mind), and offer your carrier as collateral, else this probably isn't going to be taken.

I think you should learn trading with your own money then come back when you can prove you can do it well Smile

The carrier is deep in hostile 0.0 space so it cant be used as fair collateral. Also, it is unfitted and just rigged. As for making money, i have a clear cut opportunity to make serious bank. I have put alot of time into the research already.

if you can't access the carrier then why haven't you stuck it up on a contract for sale to get some money back on it?
