J165641 - In the early hours of September 6 wormhole based alliance Aperture Harmonics successfully assaulted competitor Capital Construction Research. In what can only be described as a surprising upset in the wormhole world AHARM managed to insinuate a capital fleet into the home system of CCRES and then raze it, with losses in the tens of billions. Although reports from the battle are still sketchy it seems CCRES opted to go down in an orgy of self destruction once it became clear the system was indefensible. The logistical feat of moving a capital fleet into position through wormhole space is impressive, and this could well mark the first time an alliance of CCRES's size has been successfully attacked in a wormhole bastion. This player extends his congratulations to the maniacal pillagers of AHARM as well as sincere condolences to the communists at CCRES. More details as they arise.

I have to say I am impressed with the cap fleet that was amassed in the WH. Takes some real dedication to do that. Grats on the successful campaign.

Just popped in to give Tower of Dark Alliance props for the best fight most of us have ever had. battereport

Yes we had numbers but this took place in a Pulsar system, meaning serious shield bonuses against our armor tanked fleet.

Very well done guys.

A friend of mine is in CCR and is a bit miffed about you hiring Noir and bringing other friends, he reckons you guys would have had your hands full without them.
I told him it just sounds like business to me and you guys probably want the WH, care to speculate further?

It was a challenge. A logistical challenge more than anything else. We knew we could do it, but it was never done before so we decided to be the first.

Sneak in a small capfleet into wormhole system in a reasonable ammount of time. Then bring support en masse in one trip when the target was aware for a couple of weeks that eviction attempt is very likely.

Of course there were many other various reasons (in fact everyone had his own), but the above is something we all shared.

Was fairly fun, and yeah, more of a muscle flexing thing than wanting the system.

There's been some questioning why we brought so many as we initially did it because we wanted some great fights; however the numbers we brought shocked ourselves. We saw bigger numbers in corp than had ever occured, very impressive to all k162 members.

Because of this, during our primetime it was pretty one sided, however the people on/tz ratio did bite us in the ass with an archon loss, which is why we hired noir, because we do have a steep tz drop at certain times of the day.

However it was a very satisfying logistics web, and we hope ccres move into a proper sodding system asap. Screw black holes.

Dumb question, but I gotta know for lulz sake. Did Aharm or CCRES submit a fleet fight notification so that CCP would reinforce a wormhole node?

And if so, would that be the first request for a wormhole?

Ive had more fun in AHARM these past few months than i have in a long time playing in 0.0.
Totally random connection means no longer am i confined to fighting over the same moons, shooting the same players in the same regions, Wh's allow you to roam the entire galaxy.

My condolencies to the CCRESS guys who wanted to fight but were told not too, to those that told them not to fight, shame on you.

Rolling Eyes

Why fight an unwinnable fight with ships that are faction fitted to high hell and not only losing all that ISK but risk handing over a significant portion of it to the enemy?

You dont think those ships that were scuttled were faction-fit, do you?

As a former CCRES member, my heart fill with sadness of hearing this news, but at the same time, I feel surprised to know that taking out a full C6 corporation out of their hole is possible and thus I must show respect to thoses awsome logistic you guys in AHARM have.

I submitted a reinforcement request for when the main tower would come out of reinforcement but I have no idea if CCP actually reinforced the WH node or not.

TechPalatinus (the co ceo of CCRES) once stopped by our channel about 2 months ago to declare that CCRES was going to kill us all. Now they still may very well try but, instead of just talking about it we did it to them.

My only wish is that it had been on any other weekend than USA's labor day weekend.

Good times nonetheless

Epic ex-CCRES troll strikes again Chae?

Seriously, this kinda sums it up for all the AHARM people. AHARM would have probably ended up with a fight for the towers if they'd come alone. Both sides probably would've ended up with some significant kills and losses but we've been doing that long enough to notice that as you stack the odds heavily enough in your favor then your odds of having fun blowing lots of stuff usually goes down. You kind of have to choose between extra fun and extra safe. I take it as the highest compliment that you didn't feel comfortable taking us alone for the extra "bragging rights". Our invasion of your system was planned as a solo engagement for PR, recruiting, and morale purposes so it took longer to get set up than yours. As the situation turned out, we took our opportunity to gank a few ships trying to camp us while declining to be in the business of providing charity killmails and free navy/pirate mods.

Real congratulations are due to AHARM for dealing with the logistical nightmare of getting that many caps into our hole so quickly (for those of you who haven't done it before, a month for that number of caps would still have been fast). I know how absurdly difficult it is to get more than 1 hole into a particular system within a reasonable time. I'm honestly amazed by the speed at which you managed to pull that off.

You moved on us before we moved on you and managed to pull off a very difficult task through a ton of logistics work and a massive investment of cash and assets. Again, congratulations are in order for a job quite well done. I wish we'd had the opportunity to get another good fight or two in on this one but it just wasn't viable with the fleets present and you either never have been very good at baiting or we are just very good at IDing bait Laughing

On the system anom, several of us got annoyed with it too as we grew. We probably will end up rebuilding in another system now that we don't have to literally spend months moving ships and modules.

I also think you ended up with some other corps too. I see a few Mostly Cookies and Co2 on the killmails from the POSes. Did you pick up some groupies? ;)

BTW: Good luck next time we see you Seamus. As usual, I hope we both get a better fight out of that one (with CCRES winning, of course).

Edit: I forgot my normal disclaimer:
Despite my position as a member of CCRES, the above opinions and/or statements are solely my own and are generally not representative of, approved by, or even necessarily encouraged by CCRES as a corp. Honestly, most of them probably wish I'd shut up by now.
