Edited by: EmDeeCee on 26/08/2010 08:51:46 I have a question about renewing my subscription and time remaining on the account, but I can't find a suitable petition category to put it into.
I had 5 days left on my account, so I just purchased another years subscription while I could afford it. Before I renewed, my account showed that I had just over 5 days of play time left. After renewal, it now shows I have 366 days and 1 minute of playtime left - i.e. it expires on 27 August 2011. So where have my extra 5 days gone? Or are they still there, but the system can't recognise it?
Also, if someone could let me know where I should be posting this, or what petition category this fits under so I can ask in the correct place, that would be great.
Thanks.
P.S. This isn't the first time something like this happened either, I lost 3 days of the trial period when I initially subscribed in 2009, which is why I am asking now.
edit: corrected the expiry date |

Edited by: Koyama Ise on 26/08/2010 08:49:42 It might use 30 days as a month and just add 12 months thus adding 360 days. Though that would mean you got an extra day. |

Hi EmDeeCee,
Please file a petition under "Billing & Account "--> "Payment Issues". Our customer support team will help to investigate this issue as soon as possible. |

1 month EVE sub = 30 days, not 1 actual month 1 year EVE sub = 12 months EVE sub = 360 days, not 1 actual year

Edited by: EmDeeCee on 26/08/2010 09:49:55Thanks. I've created a petition for it now. Originally by: MickeyKnox Edited by: MickeyKnox on 26/08/2010 09:37:40 You didn't find the category for this issue? Really?
Yes. Really. It's not obvious from the petition list where you put queries about "missing playtime". Payment & billing went through just fine. Originally by: Akita T 1 month EVE sub = 30 days, not 1 actual month 1 year EVE sub = 12 months EVE sub = 360 days, not 1 actual year
That doesn't explain why the next payment date after a years subscription is exactly 1 year after the initial payment, not 360 days after. Perhaps I'm missing something? |

Hmm. That is a bit weird, indeed. Probably a display error, but which one of the two, hard to tell. I'd guess the next payment day is off. Meh, petition will solve it, I guess. |

Is it not just adding the game time you have left at the moment onto it? 360+5 ? |

Not as far as I can tell, otherwise I would have 365 days left and not 366. |

Rounding errors probably. Anyway, you know you are petitioning for about $2.50, right? |

I had the same problem a couple of months back when I added a 1 month subscription. The remaining days of the current subscription where lost when the new one was added. I petitioned it and they corrected it promptly, but it's really an oddly convenient bug to keep around for such a long time (if it is still the same issue). |

This. Also if you change your credit card details after renewing for a year, they take another year off you. Great stuff. I currently have 552 days remaining. You could in theory get as many days as you wish, but with Eve dying (since 2003) it's a gamble. |
