Hi,

Hope you guys can help me out. My current corp want to put a bonus system in place for it's members, whereby the members can put ore/loot whatever they don't want to use or want to give to the corp in a container in the corp hanger. so by end of the month the member that made the bigist conrtobution will get a bonus of some sort.

The trick is that we don't want to give full access to all the containers or each member as then they can move stuff out of each others containers. Is there a way to set this up? As currently if We get it so they have access they can take stuff out of hanger and container, if we take a way the right to take stuff out they can't open the container anymore.

Newbie thoughts here, take with a grain of NaCl ....

One scheme: Each person puts into their own container. Someone then tallies up each person's take, to sum up at end-of-month. Each person empties their tallied container into the hanger, and free-for-all ensues. Everyone has to empty after the tally else you might double-count.

Another: Each person puts into their own container, and lets everyone else know what's there. Each person asks for what he needs; him what has, tells the tallier what he transfers out to him what receives.

Can do both, of course. Requires everyone talks about what they have and what they want, which should already be happening in the corp, right?

The Problem with this is that I have over 10 000 m3 of loot in my container I actualy have no idea whats in there. And we are looking for a method that has the least amount of admin. If you can only add to the container and not take out that would solve the problem. But we just can't seem to get the rights correct to enable this.

You can password protect the containers but only restrict the protection to "Unlocking".

That could work but then the CEO has to have everyones password to access there container :), We do have a public Hanger where you can drop dtuff in that anyone can jsut crab and use. This system is more to help the corp grow and give the members a insentive to contrubute towards the corp as well.

No. The password is not disclosed to members. They don't need to know it to open or put stuff in.

Station Container / Warehouse / Vault

Station containers are available at all NPC stations and are generally less than 20k each. Only issue is they can't be moved from the station, so you have to resell them if you move, but at 20k, who cares right?

An advantage is that if someone steals a station container, they can't repackage it immediately to hide it. The CEO/directors and security officers can see into their hangars and see if someone stole it (of course they could give it to an out of corp alt, but it does offer some protection).

You can lock your items and only give out the password to open the container (or not have a password to open it). As long as they don't have the 'take' password your stuff is relatively safe. Corp roles can be set to prevent taking whole containers, but this has a negative effect in that you can't take from your own either.

Baka

That is exactly what we want a container for each member in the Corp hanger where they can open and drop, not take out again.

You mention the corp privileges can you be more specific of what rights we should give. :) and which Hanger is best to use for this purpose IE, Public/Vault exc.

Thanks for all the info so far

Out of curiosity, is it possible to set up a scheme like this at a POS? I am guessing not, but still.

Have a division in your corp hangar solely for those containers. Give "Query" and "Take" Hangar Access at HQ, Based at, and Other. (FYI, "Container Access" lets them take a container itself out.) Have this setting saved as a title.

Name and configure your containers BEFORE putting into the corp hangar. All containers should be password protected (both container and configuration) and require password for "Unlock" only.

This way, members can:
open containers
see what's inside
drop stuff in (the stuff automatically locks when dropped in)
but cannot unlock stuff.
