Edited by: Alexander Third on 09/08/2010 02:19:06 first of all there isn't that much lag. stop complaining they're doing they're best. dust will be awesome when it comes out so will incarna. CCP is the one making this, they can decide what to do with the money you spend on it. second and last this is obviously a troll. don't troll |

Look, any company worth it's salt needs to diversify. I also look forward to the army of noobs that Dust will bring to eve, and the barges full of hopes and dreams that I will be setting up in my shooting gallery.
If you really have an issue with lag, stop getting in large fleet fights and do small gang ops, and stay the hell out of 0.0 And stop doing missions with a small margin for error, as the lag will kill you there too. And dont do a lot of explo, or use a lot of drones, because the lag might cost you probes, or drones. And stay out of the major market hubs if you want to play the market, because the lag there makes it frustrating to keep up with a lot of the market competition and buy orders. Just totally change your playstyle, in to whatever avoids lag, and stop complaining and pay for the eve you have.
It's not like CCP has ever done anything to address the issue. Oh, wait, I've been playing too long to say that with a straight face. I remember barely being able to play eve in any way out in 0.0, the lag would often have me in a pod, or in a station, before I could even blink. It was frustrating in the extreme. But they have come a long way. I avoid split second timing issues, because the lag will kill you, regardless. Even in missions I notice sometimes up to a second, or three, of lag time at critical moments. At the best of times, I will see about a half second of delay between player action/game reaction. it's a known issue, and CCP has made some (many) advances along the way.
Stop bleeding on the forums and just accept that it will be an issue for a while to come, and work around it. |
